It has become abundantly clear that Donald Trump is taken not only with his skeletal diplomacy with North Korea, but also with the communist kingdom’s entire social model, which he has been praising to anybody who will listen. Trump loves the North Korean state media, the “fervor” demonstrated by its people for their leader upon pain of death, and the way Kim Jong-un’s advisers sit up in attention for him (also upon pain of death). At his rally in South Carolina Monday night, Trump seemed to recognize similarities between his communication style and the North Korean regime.

“They took down anti–United States signs all over North Korea,” he said. “They’re down. They took ‘em down. Anti-U.S. signs, like I put up anti-media signs all over the place.”

Well, yes, Trump’s method for discrediting the news media is quite similar to North Korea’s method of discrediting the United States. How unusually insightful of Trump to recognize the parallels, which would normally discomfit a democratically elected official.

Also at the rally, Trump once again declared the media “the enemy of the people,” borrowing a classic communist regime term of abuse for any class that the state was murdering in large numbers, or planned to. And, at the end of a riff praising the wonderfulness of his base, he approvingly cited a supporter who appeared on CNN and, when asked what Trump could conceivably do to risk her support, proudly declared “nothing.” North Korean–style fervor, and without even having to murder anybody to achieve it!

You seem to be suggesting that anyone can sneak into my house and make themselves welcome, use my toilet and eat out of my frig and lounge around on my sofa and I'm not supposed to notice???

BY THE WAY, for those who appeal to the thought of America being the "land of opportunity" and having been "founded on immigrants" .... don't forget that immigrant's opportunity was based on GENOCIDE of native Americans. In order for there to be "land for the taking", it had to first be taken from natives Americans, and those natives had to be "disappeared" from consideration.

I guess "open borders" didn't work so well for them, huh?

So yeah, if you want to make VALID comparisons to Hitler, why don't you start further back in our history?

Many (but not all) of the "migrant crises" today are sourced in USA foreign policy. It should be no surprise to anyone (except someone who really IS fascist-level stupid, like you) that bombing/ destroying/ destabilizing entire nations and fostering violence and poverty through our military/ covert actors, and through our western banks will cause mass migration. Why would you ... or anyone ... be surprised that after we destroyed Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, and did our best to topple the Syrian government that Europe would see a crisis mass-migration? Why should anyone be surprised that after continuously fucking over nations south of our border, and helping their oligarchs make life a miserable hellhole for the citizens there, that people would flee to a haven of relative safety and prosperity?

The ONLY GROUPS that this benefits are the elites in both nations, because this destabilizes BOTH nations and allows them to profit from depressed wages; and the MIC/ covert ops which make money off of "action" against any nation, no matter how specious.

If you want to solve the problem, then SOLVE THE PROBLEM. Stop trying to "help" those that you harmed, being there with a blanket and a glass of water in response to a criss that you yourself caused; stop doing harm in the first place.

It seems to be such a simple concept that you can't grasp and I really don't know what your problem is.

PS If you want to compare ANYONE to Hitler, you should be looking at our Presidents from Washington all the way through Teddy Roosevelt. They did a terrific job of wiping out indigenous peoples throughout the USA, and beyond.

Beto O’Rourke thinks this year’s election is not just a battle between Democrats and Republicans but a fight between democratic values and the spread of fascism in America.

“There’s no use trying to save people's feelings in the process,” he said in an interview Friday from his home in El Paso. “I think we just have to be really direct. And make sure everyone’s eyes are wide open and understand the stakes of this election.”

Former President Donald Trump is seeking to “bring dramatic fascism to this country” in his bid for a second term.

O’Rourke said Trump’s talk about immigrants poisoning America and his since-deleted social media post last month mentioning a “unified Reich” would have been at home in Mein Kampf or straight “from the mouth of Adolf Hitler.”
