That fact that you were "apolitical" when Obama, GWB(?), and Clinton were Presidents indicates to me that IT IS YOU. You simply weren't paying attention to what these Presidents were DOING, as opposed to what they were saying. Because IMHO the previous Presidents were "traitors" too.

The whole Russia-collusion thing is a farce. Other Presidents have done far worse to American interests than Trump. At least, that's what I think.

It's frustrating that we can't go back in time and prosecute previous presidents for their crimes, but the good news is that with Trump, we don't need a time machine. We don't have to risk the pain you are feeling now in the future and wish we would have done something. I think we should take your comments and learn from them and take action now, before it's too late. Care to help?

HUH????
Of course we can!
As long as the former President is still alive and the statute of limitations hasn't been reached, prosecution is still in the cards.
Wherever did you get THAT idea?

We should have gone after Bush, but the political will wasn't there, as is so often the case with Democrats.

It's too late for impeachment, but if Bush has committed actual CRIMES, he can still be indicted, prosecuted, and convicted. Same with Obama, or Bill Clinton.

Now, as far as Trump is concerned, I wouldn't want to impeach him any more than I would want to impeach Obama or Bill Clinton.

Obama did a mix of good and bad things, as did Bill. (I think I can point to more GOOD things that Bill did over Obama, specifically Bill reduced military spending .... cashing in on the "peace dividend" and reducing the Federal deficit. He also pushed for an increase in the Federal minimum wage, which was long overdue. I can't point to any unalloyed GOOD things that Obama did, because his signature health care plan was a big French kiss to insurances and especially pharmaceutical companies.) So, as with Obama and Bill Clinton, I would fight some of Trump's policies and approve of some others.

Enforcing our immigration laws, backing out of "free trade" agreements (and keeping regulatory decisions before OUR courts, not transnational-dominated trade tribunals), revitalizing our manufacturing industries, making nice with Russia (and N Korea), and countering the globalist deep state are all good, important things IMHO.

Trashing the environment, spending more money on the military, bombing the snot out of even more countries, throwing money at the wealthy, and blowing up the Federal deficit are all BAD things, IMHO. BUT .... at least these decisions will come before OUR courts and OUR polls, not be decided in some foreign trade tribunal where we have no representation*. Keeping the decision-making within our boundaries is terribly important: We can always hash things out amongst ourselves, but once those decisions are in foreign hands there's nothing we can do about them.

* Somehow, I have not made clear how IMPORTANT it is for our economic and regulatory decisions to be made HERE - not in some secret, foreign trade tribunal. So let me give you an example: Say that the State of California wanted to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and decided to put a tax on high-carbon fuels. Fuels like coal, or energy-intensively-extracted tar sands, would suffer a competitive disadvantage. A Canadian tar sands company decides to sue the State of CA for interfering with its normal and expected profits; they want the tax overturned. Where do you want THAT to be decided? In Singapore, under the terms of a "Free trade" agreement? Or here, in the USA court system?

Over-extracting groundwater (eg by Nestle), labor laws and minimum wages, pharmaceuticals or foods which did not meet some (locally-higher) purity standard ... ALL of these could be challenged by a transnational in a venue far away, and none of the cities, states, or even the USA government itself would have any representation there. The effect would be to make all of our regulatory decisions moot.

That's what I was thinking...he doesn't have the attention span for ACTUAL news, so he thinks spoof news is entertaining enough to pass for informed.

It's NOT. By a looong shot.

And I'll say it again, maybe he can remember it this time...but I was the welcome wagon for a few years for this site. It was my self-appointed job to be nice on the main page. But when you say things like "there is no wage gap" because you are too dense to understand what a class action lawsuit is, let alone the thousands of them that happen all the time in this country, or that "women didn't have it so bad" when they couldn't vote, refuse sex, or the eventual ensuing death from continually bearing children, never mind the physical slavery of cooking and washing until your hands bled and never being able to leave those that beat you, ect...

Oh, and the no Nazi's??? Several of the shooters have been self proclaimed Nazi's... If blowing away a whole room full of people doesn't make you a Nazi....WHAT DOES??? You don't read the real news to know ANYTHING.

You are an idiot that thinks you are a genius and that your opinion matters because you are white and have a penis.

Go...gain some intelligence and some knowledge and then maybe we can talk about me not hating your stupid guts. Until then you will remain an IDIOT CHILD.

The United States intends to step up military operations against Islamic State in eastern Afghanistan during a temporary ceasefire between the Afghan government and the Taliban, the top U.S. general in Afghanistan said on Friday.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday announced the first unconditional ceasefire with the Taliban, coinciding with the end of the Muslim fasting month. But that excludes other militant groups such as Islamic State.

Ooooooh. Sweet vindication.

http://www.businessinsider.com/study-watching-fox-news-makes-you-less-
informed-than-watching-no-news-at-all-2012-5

Domestic issues:

Quote:

They found that someone who watched only Fox News would be expected to answer 1.04 domestic questions correctly compared to 1.22 for those who watched no news at all. Those watching only "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" answered 1.42 questions correctly and people who only listened to NPR or only watched Sunday morning political talk shows answered 1.51 questions correctly.

International issues:

Quote:

With all else being equal, people who watched no news were expected to answer 1.28 correctly; those watching only Sunday morning shows figured at 1.52; those watching only "The Daily Show" figured at 1.60; and those just listening to NPR were expected to correctly answer 1.97 international questions.

Check the graphs in the link. Daily Show viewers (back when John Stewart was on since this study comes from 2012), beat out CNN, MSNBC and FOX viewers by quite a bit in both categories.

Thanks for the link, RF!
