Didn't realize how badly Dean Martin did this song. Should have listened before posting. Was trying to post the version done by Robert Clary the actor who played Louie LeBeau on Hogan's Heroes.

Merci Jack.

I love Robert Clary doing that song for that album. My mom had a copy of it and it got lost after she died. Wish I still had it or could lay my hands on another copy.

I know you don't have a credit card, but it's still out there for a reasonable price. Maybe it will pop up somewhere local for you someday. :)

I know of one place local to me I can check and go from there. There's an idea for Monday. I would like to get another copy of it as I grew up listening to it.

That's okay Reaverfan. Think I will stick with Robert Clary.

There's a few antique stores around where my brother lives that I check out sometimes when I go down there to visit him. Rarely would you ever find what you were looking for in a place like that, I'm sure, but nearly the entire basement was devoted to old records that they were selling for a song. I found a near mint copy of the Indiana Jones original soundtrack on vinyl there for less than a buck. :)

You'll pay more for sure when they know you're looking for it, but if it's got that sentimental value to you then it could be well worth the price. It's nice to see that it's up on ebay and it's not going for hundreds of dollars.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

There's some second hand stores around me and some places that sell collectables too.

I know that too and it does have sentimental value to me. Never know I could luck out on it. It would be nice. That is good and it also means that not a lot of people realize where and what it is associated with.

I don't hit up Goodwill all that much anymore these days, but I do go there on occasion to pick up new work clothes. I never look at the music section, but they do have records there. I'll try to remember to take a gander from time to time since I know what the album cover looks like. :)

There's a store here that sells records and I might be able to get it there or ask. There is a thrift store near that one and a Salvation Army thrift store down town. There's a thrift store near my chiropactor's office and they seem to have a lot of things. Including record albums.

There's probably a good chance that the record store by you would be able to procure it for you. Like any business though, the more "desperate" you sound to get your hands on it, the more likely they would put a premium on you if you haven't built up a rapport with them. For sure I'd take a look around the store yourself to see if they already have it before you express an interest specifically for that album.

There's less than 10 hours left on that auction I posted. Just one bid for 9.99 plus 5 bucks shipping. Assuming there's no last minute snipers that come in and drive the price up, that could very well be the going price for the album. It's really all a matter of timing on ebay though. My cousin used to make a good buck just buying and reselling stuff on ebay. Sometimes the people willing to buy something just weren't looking for it at the time. Until you saw a few more auctions on it, you couldn't really say for sure what the good price for it is, but at least you'd know what one person got it for.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Yeah, know that too. I'm not desperate but it would be nice to have a copy of it again.

That's what I am thinking. They have some Beatle stuff too. But I might be able to find soundtracks and that's what that would be classified as because of its connection with the TV show. I will definitely take a look tomorrow and see what I can shake out.

The price didn't go up. It sold for 9.99 plus 5 bucks shipping. At least that's a baseline.

I actually went to Goodwill today. They've got about 100 records there. It wasn't there. I'll make that something I check whenever I go now. Most of the records there seem to be around that time frame. Definitely didn't see any 60's or 70's rock in there. Ya never know.

Glad I went though. They had some great shirts and work clothes my size today. A lot of times I walk out of there empty handed.

Glad you had a good day at Goodwill.

Place I went to didn't have it and I can't order it. Didn't say what I was looking for just asked a general question. They had the soundtrack from Pulp Fiction and some Beatles stuff along with other albums.

The thrift store I may go back to tomorrow. It's open sign was out but then they had another one hanging on the door saying to come back later. Which I couldn't.

The Salvation Army, I will hit on Friday. Gotta be down the downtown area to do something.

Wow.... They really won't order it for you?

I've never been much into collecting music, but I would think that most record stores today would be struggling somewhat and would jump at the chance to look at getting somebody a specific album they were looking for.

I don't think the price would be all that reasonable, but with ebay making stuff like that easier than ever before, I would think that they'd at least have said "I'll check and get back to you". They could have bought the album for 10 bucks plus shipping and charged you 30+ for a few minutes work.

Oh well... You might find other things you like by just looking for it every once in a while at the places that might carry it. I think the internet has taken a lot of the thrill of collectables out of the equation. I know some people who have extensive video game collections, but I don't see the fun in that anymore. Where's the thrill when buying whatever you want online and paying a fortune to do it compared to the old days of garage saleing and hitting up the swap meets?

I should explain that this store is called "London Drugs" started out as just as drugstore and now they do computers, cameras, televisions and other electronics as well as medicines and other house hold goods. So, no they won't do anything like that. I've gone in there and asked about ordering DVDs and they won't do that either.

I've collected a little bit of music over the years. I've got some Jerry Reed LPs that I bought when he was doing "Smokey and the Bandit". Also have at least 1 classical record that was bought for me by a lady that has since died when I was a child. I also still have all my Bay City Rollers records. Haven't had the heart to get rid of those.

Oh, I'm sure that if I keep going in and checking every so often I might find a DVD or CD or just an LP that I want there.

lol, yeah... I bet.

Let me know what it feels like. I'll probably never have that feeling again.

Meh... I got enough to pay the bills and save up for big ticket stuff that I need to start taking care of. Maybe if I can finally get my project to the stage that phase one is ready to roll out and I can figure out how to monetize it I won't have to think about it anymore.

Everything is copacetic, but it would be nice to be able to upgrade my TV and my computer tech situation without feeling guilty that more important things haven't been taken care of first.

The plus side of that though, is that I'm starting to see TV's that aren't even on sale really cheap that are larger than my old and true 52" projection screen that I've been lugging around with me everywhere I went for the last 10 years. If I can hold out until Prime day or Black Friday, I can probably get a nice 65" flat screen for $400, which is $300 cheaper than I got the projection screen for back in the day. :)

Really need to upgrade the computers though. Everything I got is really starting to struggle with Windows 10 and websites in 2019.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Awwww shit man. I'm really sorry to hear that. I had no idea that you were in that situation. Double my congrats since it's at a time in need.

The silver lining is that I doubt very much that banks want to own any more properties that are falling apart in Illinois and shouldering that additional tax burden. If your job allows you the flexibility to catch up with them while also paying the rest of the bills, I'm sure you can work something out.

You're still rocking the old TV's too, huh?

This is the only studio song they did with a woman singing lead.

There's plenty more to say about it, but I'll STFU.
