The story has all the light entertainment value of typical news and is very forgettable: Wife cheats on husband, her lover murders the husband and the two lovers collect $1.75 million on the husband’s life insurance, then almost 20 years pass before the two murderers/lovers are caught. I think I have read this same story, but with different details, about a hundred times over the last 50 years.

If the lovers were Republican politicians, they would be screaming, before they were convicted, that the "liberal" media is biased against them. But the truth is that the media covers all stories as entertainment. As far as solving problems and bringing politicians to justice, the media is worthless.

My thesis is that Lara Logan, with her tall tales about the "liberal" media, is talking nonsense. The media covers politics and Trump’s tax cheating in the same way as it covered this story of murder for the life insurance money. The media is looking only at the entertainment value. It is not promoting a "liberal" political agenda, despite what Lara Logan says.
