This specific style of swimsuit is required by the school to be worn by each swimmer, no changes or alterations are allowed, no exceptions, and the suits are supplied by the school.

Yet the best swimmer in the meet is DisQualified after winning.

What is the solution?

Although pictures were included in the story, I read mention of this girl and her sister as being black or maybe African-American.

Ever heard of the saying that "blacks can't swim" or similar? Which really maens that black athletes have more difficulty swimming as well as other races.
But here the best swimmers in the meet are black girls, so the refs needed to find a reason to DQ them.
