Trump's latest Twitter whining:

Donald J. Trump
Congress & the President should not be wasting their time and energy on a continuation of the totally partisan Impeachment Hoax when we have so many important matters pending. 196 to ZERO was the Republican House vote, & we got 3 Dems. This was not what the Founders had in mind!

Donald J. Trump
The Impeachment Hoax, just a continuation of the Witch Hunt which started even before I won the Election, must end quickly. Read the Transcripts, see the Ukrainian President’s strong statement, NO PRESSURE - get this done. It is a con game by the Dems to help with the Election!

Donald J. Trump
“The reason they are not sending the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate is that they are so weak and so pathetic.”

Donald J. Trump
These Media Posts will serve as notification to the United States Congress that should Iran strike any U.S. person or target, the United States will quickly & fully strike back, & perhaps in a disproportionate manner. Such legal notice is not required, but is given nevertheless!

Donald J. Trump
The United States just spent Two Trillion Dollars on Military Equipment. We are the biggest and by far the BEST in the World! If Iran attacks an American Base, or any American, we will be sending some of that brand new beautiful equipment their way...and without hesitation!

Donald J. Trump
They attacked us, & we hit back. If they attack again, which I would strongly advise them not to do, we will hit them harder than they have ever been hit before! The great Scam continues. To be spending time on this political Hoax at this moment in our history, when I am so busy, is sad!

Donald J. Trump
....targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD. The USA wants no more threats!

Donald J. Trump
....hundreds of Iranian protesters. He was already attacking our Embassy, and preparing for additional hits in other locations. Iran has been nothing but problems for many years. Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have.....

Donald J. Trump
Iran is talking very boldly about targeting certain USA assets as revenge for our ridding the world of their terrorist leader who had just killed an American, & badly wounded many others, not to mention all of the people he had killed over his lifetime, including recently....

Donald J. Trump
As hard as I work, & as successful as our Country has become with our Economy, our Military & everything else, it is ashame that the Democrats make us spend so much time & money on this ridiculous Impeachment Lite Hoax. I should be able to devote all of my time to the REAL USA!

==========

^Can you believe an adult actually typed that sh*t out? What a whiny @ss little b*tch. It's like he hired Iraq's former communications guy, "we will eat their bellies..."
And awwww... he's working SO hard!
It's really, really hard to tell how he feels about his Impeachment, isn't it?

We have an absolute moron for a president.

Stupid officials offered a stupid president a stupid option. Then they were stunned he took a stupid action

The New York Times reports:

In the chaotic days leading to the death of Maj. Gen. Qassim Suleimani, Iran’s most powerful commander, top American military officials put the option of killing him — which they viewed as the most extreme response to recent Iranian-led violence in Iraq — on the menu they presented to President Trump.

They didn’t think he would take it. In the wars waged since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, Pentagon officials have often offered improbable options to presidents to make other possibilities appear more palatable.

After initially rejecting the Suleimani option on Dec. 28 and authorizing airstrikes on an Iranian-backed Shia militia group instead, a few days later Mr. Trump watched, fuming, as television reports showed Iranian-backed attacks on the American Embassy in Baghdad, according to Defense Department and administration officials.

By late Thursday, the president had gone for the extreme option. Top Pentagon officials were stunned.

Trump's statement lacks conviction. He should have made the letters even bigger and redder, then everyone would be convinced he can keep that promise as certainly as he shutdown N Korea's nuclear program.

I was thinking that when they said he was going there. I don't get stampedes. If a crowd starts running one way, I automatically run the other way just to get the hell away from everybody else. I'm never in the middle of a group. You'd think they would eventually get that too??

Hubby has an old friend like that. We all used to carpool to work together. Really nice oddball then. Was in the army, got kicked out. Has ADD, PTSD, you name it. His facebook feed looks like a Faux news site now.
"If you don't like --insert topic of the day here--- you can leave MY country" crap...

I friended him not knowing his current political state. It was a great way to clear out all my facebook "friends" when his crap started invading my feeds.
I only use facebook for gaming login purposes anyway. I feel bad for the guy, he's moved a dozen times looking for a utopia situation that's never gonna happen. Always some scheme. He just gets more broke every time he moves. Like the rest of Chump-landia...ZERO self-awareness....

The election doesn't look good.
Sanders and Biden are too dense to keep their cool against a jock.

Sanders has a large group of online haters.

Biden might as well stand there and drool, he's not mentally in there at all... "I'm running for SENATE??" I think he's setting himself up to lose.

Warren has actually been holding her own in calling them out in the debates lately, but putting a woman against a 'roid monkey never ends well...

Does ANYONE like Bloomberg?? Creepy lil toad.

Buttigieg doesn't have the popularity, but I think he's the most used to "handling" that kind of abject stupidity. I think he has it in him to play hardball, but it's a tough thing to run circles around Chumps zombie supporters.

Klobuchar has next to nothin' in support. Most likely won't make it another two weeks...

I mailed in my Texas primary ballot for Amy Klobuchar.

The candidates who performed best with voters in the middle in 2018 look a lot like Klobuchar — running as competent, moderate women candidates who lead with their record and ability to get things done.

In the crowded primary field, moderate voters are currently split among several candidates: former V.P. Joe Biden, former Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and former Mayor Mike Bloomberg. Klobuchar has a few advantages among these moderate choices. Voters have openly expressed skepticism about a candidate over 70, which applies to both Biden and Bloomberg, and she certainly has a lot more experience than Buttigieg, with whom she appears to be splitting a similar cadre of voters.

National head-to-head polling finds every major Democrat leading Trump. Klobuchar’s real case comes in in key states like Michigan, where she polled ahead of Trump by 6 points last year. In her home state, which Clinton won narrowly, she beats him by 17 points.

Unfortunately, the potential general election appeal of such a candidate doesn’t seem to be something many Democrats are thinking about in the primary.

Amy Klobuchar is still a very progressive candidate

It’s in some ways a sign of how far left the Democratic Party has moved that Klobuchar is considered a moderate candidate. She’s still one of the 15 most progressive members of the US Senate.

In all elections I only vote for Democrats. In Texas most of them lose. Such is life. It is a habit I've gotten into once I read the biographies of Nixon. I knew he was a crook about a week after arriving in Vietnam, despite the Republican officers saying he was a great man, but I only really knew what a CROOK he was much later:

Did Nixon Commit Treason on Vietnam?
Robert KC Johnson History News Network January 27, 2017

A low point in last year's presidential campaign came when the New York Post published a front-page story claiming that in his visit to Baghdad, Barack Obama had engaged in secret negotiations with the Iraqi government to undermine the Bush administration's foreign policy. The story was wildly implausible—these “negotiations” would have occurred before a bipartisan Senate delegation and U.S. diplomats—and quickly disproved.

The Post allegations recalled an event from the 1968 presidential election, in which representatives from the presidential candidate of the party out of power did seek political advantage by involving themselves in diplomatic negotiations. The story of Richard Nixon's surreptitious contacts with the South Vietnamese government is quite well-known: fearful that a last-second peace deal would give Hubert Humphrey the election, Nixon agents—chiefly Anna Chennault—reached out to the South Vietnamese government of Nguyen van Thieu. The message: a peace settlement under a Nixon presidency would be more favorable to the South Vietnamese. The Paris peace talks may very well have collapsed without this Nixonian intervention, but South Vietnamese resistance ensured the doom of the negotiations. While it remains unclear whether Nixon personally directed the Chennault diplomacy, he clearly was aware of it by late October 1968, and seems to have done nothing to repudiate Chennault's toxic message.
More at www.realclearhistory.com/2017/01/27/did_nixon_commit_treason_on_vietna
m_1374.html

What happened was this. President Johnson’s staff engaged in peace negotiations with the North Vietnamese. Presidential candidate Richard Nixon secretly told the North Vietnamese that they would get a better deal if they waited. Johnson learned of this and privately called it treason but publicly said nothing. Nixon campaigned promising that he could end the war. But, unlike Reagan who later sabotaged negotiations to free hostages from Iran, Nixon didn’t actually deliver what he had secretly delayed. Instead, as a president elected on the basis of fraud, he continued and escalated the war (just as Johnson had before him). He once again campaigned on the promise to finally end the war when he sought re-election four years later — the public still having no idea that the war might have been ended at the negotiating table before Nixon had ever moved into the White House if only Nixon hadn’t illegally interfered (or might have been ended at any point since its beginning simply by ending it).

The fact that this crime existed and that Nixon wanted it kept secret sheds light on lesser crimes generally lumped under the heading “Watergate.” The PBS documentary does point out that Nixon’s desire to break into a safe in the Brookings Institution was probably part of the effort to cover up his original treason. Burns and Novick fail to mention that Nixon thug Charles Colson also plotted to bomb the Brookings Institution.

The sad truth is that I can never get solid proof of who is a crook soon enough to make a difference. Instead, I've switched to the heuristic rule that all Republicans are crooks, unless there is proof they are not. That switch has made my life much, much easier. And more profitable.

I soon found myself reflexively questioning every headline. It wasn’t that I believed Trump and his boosters were telling the truth. It was that, in this state of heightened suspicion, truth itself—about Ukraine, impeachment, or anything else—felt more and more difficult to locate. With each swipe, the notion of observable reality drifted further out of reach.

What I was seeing was a strategy that has been deployed by illiberal political leaders around the world. Rather than shutting down dissenting voices, these leaders have learned to harness the democratizing power of social media for their own purposes—jamming the signals, sowing confusion. They no longer need to silence the dissident shouting in the streets; they can use a megaphone to drown him out. Scholars have a name for this: censorship through noise.

After the 2016 election, much was made of the threats posed to American democracy by foreign disinformation. Stories of Russian troll farms and Macedonian fake-news mills loomed in the national imagination. But while these shadowy outside forces preoccupied politicians and journalists, Trump and his domestic allies were beginning to adopt the same tactics of information warfare that have kept the world’s demagogues and strongmen in power.

Kinda the same thing with golf, at least if you're a pro.

Now, mind, I'm no sports guy, but I think the only sport where you can be a complete lard ass and still be one of the top players is bowling... and that's just barely a sport.

Trump has shown that he’s willing to go much further than most. In the run-up to the 2018 midterm elections, he seized on reports of a migrant caravan traveling to the U.S. from Central America to claim that the southern border was facing a national-security crisis. Trump warned of a coming “invasion” and claimed, without evidence, that the caravan had been infiltrated by gang members.

Trump ran commercials with an urgent call to action: stop the caravan. vote Republican. In a final maneuver before the election, Trump dispatched U.S. troops to the border. The president insisted that the operation was necessary to keep America safe — but within weeks the troops were quietly called back, the “crisis” having apparently ended once votes were cast.

If Trump is willing to militarize the border to pick up a few extra seats in the midterms, what will he do when his reelection is on the line?

The president insisted that the operation was necessary to keep America safe — but within weeks the troops were quietly called back, the “crisis” having apparently ended once votes were cast.

If Trump is willing to militarize the border to pick up a few extra seats in the midterms, what will he do when his reelection is on the line?

Your media was reporting on the progress of the caravan every day for weeks, with pictures and videos. Are you pretending that this didn't happen now?

Anyhow... Baby Trump now has 46.4% approval on the RCP aggregate. Higher than any point in his presidency including inauguration.

Even though Reuters, The Economist and Politico are still lying with fake outlier numbers, Eco and Politico seem to be hedging their bets and figured out that they shouldn't lie so hard and brought it down from -12 to -9 and -7 respectively. Reuters still has him at -12.

This should come at no surprise with Reuters, who hasn't once had Trump in single negative digits in 2020 and only twice last year (once in December and once in October). They routinely had him down by as many as -17.

Do Right, Be Right. :)
