Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

The court must still formally approve the request.

In its filing, the department condemned the FBI's work when it interviewed Flynn in the West Wing in the first weeks of the Trump presidency.

Perhaps someone who's been following this more closely than I have could fill in the details. Was the federal government about to be made to disgorge damning details about its own malfeasance unless charges were dropped?

Is that the Bill Barr Justice Department? You can't possibly be this naive. Ok, I guess it's possible.

This has been going on for a long, long time. Flynn sacked his original lawyers, and the new team, IIRC, were able to get evidence previously illegally withheld from the defense, that showed that FBI testimony transcript had been altered as well as the FBI report ... there were other things going on that I've forgotten. This information was well-documented in the news when it came out. But as this went through many layers of courts, evidence tampering by the FBI seemed to make no legal difference. Why incontrovertible proof of FBI illegalities didn't seem to affect the rulings in the 'justice' system is beyond me.

In either case, I believe there was some move by Flynn's new team to force out not only previously revealed FBI malfeasance but newly found instances into the public domain.

If anything, this looks like a move to protect the FBI and the denizens therein.

But it would be nice to have a good, detailed historical summary of all the what-the-whats.

JONGSSTRAW

The Flynn case was pure entrapment, revenge, and political misadventure by the FBI ordered by Andrew McCabe. At the very least he and a few of his henchmen like Strzok and Ohr deserve to go to prison for their failed coup.

Flynn HAD to be removed because he'd uncover the dirty criminal actions going on to set up Trump as well as being anti- Muslim, which Obama was trying to get imbedded into our gov't.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

It was handwritten FBI notes, just recently made available to the defense, in which they openly discussed how to entrap Flynn, than caused the case to be dropped.

My question in: Will anyone who participated in this travesty be indicted?? I hope so, but I doubt it.

They clearly knew it was wrong , so where were the whistleblowers ?

Probably realized how futile it was when the very gate keepers of justice who'd illegally go after a 3 star general - as a precursor to taking down a duly elected President - would be the ones who took on said whistle blower's case , it's best to keep quiet.

JUST IN CASE YOU THINK THE MEDIA IS A FAIR REPORTER OF THE FACTS:

What BARR said, in full:
"Well, history is written by the winners, so it largely depends on who's writing the history. I think a fair history would say it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law. It upheld the standards of the Department of Justice, and it undid what was an injustice."

What was edited out:
"I think a fair history would say it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law. It upheld the standards of the Department of Justice, and it undid what was an injustice."

What was reported:
Barr: "Well, history is written by the winners, so it largely depends on who's writing the history."
Todd: "I am struck … by the cynicism of the answer. It’s a correct answer. But he’s the attorney general. He didn’t make the case that he was upholding the rule of law. He was almost admitting that, yeah, this was a political job."

An " oopsie ". A mere mistake ?

Just like the Covington Catholic HS kids, who were accused of " harassing " and Elder Native American and Vietnam Vet ?

Just like Trump calling Nazis " very fine people "?

Never happened, and those who did the editing KNOW it never happened.

On and on it goes. But guess what?

You can't stop the signal. Everything goes somewhere.

And it gets even better!!! The facts that SCHIFF tried to keep hidden? Down in his secret Democratic House Bunker ? They're coming out, with more to come!
