While I agree there is way too many people on this planet, I'm not sure killing off billions of people through virus is the way to go about it.

Pandemics tend to wipe out particular people with particular immune systems, and the only thing that has allowed us to survive as a species has been our vast differences.

The three major plagues in history were less than 5 years. That isn't going to limit the population enough. There is no way this will last 5 years with the focus it is getting, thankfully.

We need to convince people that two children per partner is enough. Long term sustainability should be the focus.

If this particular bug just wiped out fascists, I would agree

They have new restrictions and guidelines for the people at hubby's work. Face shields AND masks AND gloves....

You know what else they don't have??

Air conditioning. And they've turned off all the fans.

Yep. People throwing up and passing out like flies due to lack of oxygen.

I did some yard work last year wearing one of his respirators from the mines(it was still new), as we had a super high pollen day and I had family coming...

Guess what happens when someone with messed up connective tissue forces lungs to suck air for an hour?? Pneumonia! He said people used to pass out in the mines wearing them all the time, they'd just prop them up in the corner for a while.



Pretty sure all the mask stuff is nonsense anyway. If you are standing next to someone who has the virus, you still have a pretty good chance of getting it anyway, unless they have on a skin tight mask. The percentage is impossible to figure.

I have a hard time processing air AS IT IS...

Yup. Masks are a terrible idea for many reasons.

Anybody who's done any work in them where they are necessary can tell you how terrible it is to wear them. It doesn't even have to be hot and you're going to be sweating while working because of the extra labor it puts on your body trying to breathe through them. Even better is when you're doing a job that requires wearing a mask and eye protection and half the time you can't even see anything because your glasses fog up with every exhale.

Sins your eyez need to be protected, a full fase mask endz up being a hevy load hanging on your fase. Adding a strap over the top uv your hed and putting the battery on the bak uv your hed coud work, but then its just 1 step under being a helmet.

Well, I do have a more serious mask that takes HEPA filter cartridges that won't fog up your glasses, but those aren't exactly cheap compared to the regular cloth face masks and can't just keep being reused... especially since any jobs that would require the extra safety are going to be blocking something particularly nasty like mold. Unless you're rich, you're not going to be using that for sanding down walls.

JO, just my opinion but ... it's a bit fiddly for the average person. If you could make the several many pieces into single pieces, and make all the fittings be keyed so that the whole things only goes together one way, it would be more user friendly. And I think it's a bit overkill for what people are willing to wear. But if you could make it a ROOM air sanitizer, I think people would really go for it! Just be aware that UV light can charge particles ... and charged particles will coat the outside of the UV source. And by blocking UV light, dust is the killer of effectiveness. So perhaps a physical dust filter upstream would help.


(PS - UV light is a potential blinder/ killer of retina cells. So be careful working with it! Don't look at it without serious UV filters in place. And make it interlocked so nobody else can look at the naked UV source, either.)

You might have a harder time with it on crowd funding than you did before. Half of those end up as failures and people never get their money back.

Maybe Daniel Ibbertson or Thunderfoot will make a video about your campaign though.

I started watching Ibertson'z vid about stolen crowdfunding scamz, but after 4 minits uv him reintrodusing the subject I gave up.

I'v run across several Youtuberz like this hoo rely on fast edits with lots uv 'funny' insert piks and an exajerated dialect to try to disgize the lack uv substans. They strecj a 3 minit topic to 20+ minits, putting Rachel Maddow to shame on repetition.

Yeah. Not a huge fan of Ibbertson myself. Especially not once he started shilling products and RAID Shadow Legends in every video.

I do like some of his retro video game related stuff, but it's not anything that isn't done better by other youtubers, and his content won't be missed now that he's a sellout. Jeremy Parish is the best at retrogaming content on youtube, IMO.



I love Thunderfoot though. You can understand what he's saying without a voice that's grating and he does a great job at explaining the science behind why many of the claims of kickstarter projects just won't work given our current knowledge of physics. He's able do do it in a way that is interesting and without dumbing things down so much as to be insulting.

My favorite videos by him are his reply videos when the makers of these kickstarters fight back or make the huge mistake of trying to take his video down with a DMCA.

A week ago I started getting vage snippets uv a song in my brain. Coudnt remember any lyrics, the title or artist. It wuz going on all day evey day.

All I coud remember wuz that it wuz newer rock / alternativ, maybe 10 to 20 yirz old.

A few dayz ago I started trying to find it on Youtube by playing songz frum the same time ranje, expecting it woud eventually show up az a segjestion or in a playlist.

Befor that happend I suddenly remembered the title yesterday.



I think the reazon my brain wuz working so hard to recall it iz the linez 'feel the wate uv the world on my shoulder' and 'I dont wear a mask' ( I interpret that az 'I'm not a super hero')
