This shutdown is what lead to the riots. It was the catalyist.


And if anybody thinks the riots are bad now, just wait until the unemployment runs out. At least people are still getting something, but even with state and federal extensions it only lasts for a year, and without any extra money being put on top of it, it's usually in the area of 40 to 47% of what people made while they were working. And a very large majority of those jobs that were so callously deemed unessential were very low wage jobs to begin with.





In New York, it was supposed to only be 14 days as to not overwhelm the hospitals.

Then it went on to "flatten the curve".

Now, not unlike our never-ending wars in the Middle East, it will go on forever until we can make sure that nobody ever dies again.




Like anything else, the stuff that I predict is far enough in the future that most people can't possibly understand the impact until time lapses. They'll argue with me in the here and now and hurl a constant barrage of insults my way, but they will never take their blinders off and try to look at the big picture.
