I'd much rather see California split and take their 55 Electoral votes with them.

Good luck to Texas, but the rest of us are fucked for a long time if they actually do it. But they won't. For the reasons Kiki mentioned and for others. (In the short-term: Any unemployment extensions, individual stimulus payouts, additional unemployment payments beyond the tiny amount the state gives you, etc...)

It should be noted that we're not in a healthy place as a country right now, to the few who haven't noticed it yet. We've become so hyperpartisanized that political leaders of either party could recognize and even help facilitate the splitting of our boundaries to help the odds of passing their agendas through.
