The entire town of Lytton BC which has a population of 1000 has been completely evacuated. There is a massive fire burning and has now reached the town. News said there are buildings on fire.

ETA. I got the population wrong

The village of Lytton is now 90% destroyed by a wildfire in that area. Evacuation warnings have been issued for 100 homes around Kamloops.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

It looks like people are being evacuated in good time. At least there's that much to be grateful for.

True but news reports tonight say 2 people have died. Families have been separated.
