That's hilarious.

Not living in California myself, I haven't really been paying any attention to the Newsom recall. But on RCP I see all the headlines they push from both sides of the media.

I saw quite a few hit-piece titles on Elder there from the usual Lefty shill sites, but none of them mentioned that he was black. It sounds like he could be an old white dude with that name, and probably "Elder" plays right into that.

You know if he were running Democrat they'd make a big deal about his race.

Because Democrats are racist.

I'll look into his POV.

There are a few critical issue for CA right now that I would like to see addressed

1) Illegal immigration. Been shoved in the background by Covid-19 but still an issue.

2) Homelessness. The reason WHY there are so many homeless in CA is because

CA has enough benefits including the weather that attracts homeless people and induces them to stay. (30% of homeless people come from out of state. If I were monarch, I would contact their nearest and dearest and ship them back for care.)

Real estate speculation by big money had priced non-homeowners out of the market. There is a huge incentive to see RE prices go up and up ... property owners see their portfolio increase and cities/counties see their tax base go up, but sky high RE prices generate their own set of problems

3) Climate change. CA needs to harden itself to the coming problem, not just try to convert to "green" energy, and that means better forest management and much better water management.

4) Covid-19. Vaccine and mask mandates and lockdowns are not useful for this iteration of the virus. Protect the vulnerable.

5) All the usual problems that the rest of the USA shares: de-industrialization (LA was once an industrial powerhouse), joblessness etc

6) Pollution, land use, transportation, and other environmental issues.

The little I've seen of him I like, but Obama was an excellent communicator too.

My dad seems to like him. He was the one that told me he was black and he'd already been watching his YouTube videos before running against Newsom was even a thing. I guess a lot of people already knew this about Elder, but like I've said before I don't watch most news because it's all bullshit.

Too long for me to do anything other than skim most of it since I'm not going to be voting in your election.

That being said, I like his stance on Covid. Not sure I agree that the solution to the housing problem is to build more houses though. There's a lot of empty houses. We should probably consider building smaller houses when we do build more.

I'm sure if Elder is a Fox News favorite, I'd probably not agree with a lot of his points, but I love the fact that he's black. He gets to shove it up the Liberal's asses and break it off.

My sentiments exactly. I've often opined - even posted it here many times - that we've never tested the power of our democracy.

BTW, I personally don't believe that a vote can be so severely manipulated it would turn a Newsom loss into a 2:1 win.

Voting shouldn't be looked on as a one-time event. People should have a consistent strategy for voting election after election. That's the only way you can weed out the unsuitable.

It is amazingly difficult to find any facts on this vote count total.

Only results show how much the MAIL-IN Vote tally was, on election night, with almost none of the actual in person votes counted. I went through 13 pages of search results without any factual data following the mail-in vote claims.

One might wonder if this was ever a news story.

I did notice that on or after election night, there were more than 9,500,000 votes total, without the in-person votes counted yet.

Now I see ballotpedia has 9,100,000 total votes listed.

To be clear, it seems the fraudulent mail-in ballotsd were heavily for Newsom, and subsequent counting of actual in-person ballots of citizenry would shift the total away from Newsom.
