Trump is sabotaging himself

There Donald Trump goes again. Abandoning the path to possible victory just to prove a point.

"If we don't solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 Republicans will not be voting in '22 or '24," Trump announced in a written statement Wednesday.

Hey man. It's cool. Now you get to see what advocating for election fraud wrought.

Our country isn't doing too good right now, Ted.

That's your guy's doing.

Starting next November, Democrats are done for a generation.

Trump sets off yet another GOP civil war, risking party's midterm strategy

Mitch McConnell doesn't say anything by accident. The Senate minority leader's every move is in the service of his long game dedicated to securing power.

So the Kentucky senator's denunciation of the Republican National Committee's view of the US Capitol insurrection as "legitimate political discourse" Tuesday should be read as more than an unusually frank rebuke of ex-President Donald Trump.

McConnell's comments were a blaring warning to his party, less than nine months before the midterm elections, that letting Trump's election fraud fantasies and January 6 misinformation dominate the campaign could cost it dearly.

If McConnell is playing a "long game," which is what he titled his memoir, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is playing a short one -- since he likely depends on Trump's blessing to become speaker if the GOP wins the House majority in November.

If Roe v Wade is overturned the Dems will win in a landslide. If this happens, I believe it is possible they will clean up the Supreme Court. Justices can be impeached, and those who’ve lied about how they would not overturn what has been precedent for decades must be impeached for lying.

This country is founded on the rule of law. This rule of law can only be maintained if we maintain a separation of church and state. It is obvious some on the court are not capable of doing that. They need to go for that reason. And of course, for lying to Congress. That is after all is said and done, against the law.

I've been thinking that Dems have destroyed everything for themselves so thoroughly that even this wouldn't save them from what's coming in November.

And yeah... If I were the justice that leaked this information early, I'd be really worried about the fact that justices can be impeached right now.

I'm also pretty sure that whichever one did it was too stupid to know something that even Ted knows.

Voting day.

Only one actually matters in my parts. I'm voting for Jennifer-Ruth Green, the black woman who didn't get my Governor's endorsement but who was endorsed by the Trump endorsed Attorney General Todd Rokita.

I voted against Todd Rokita for AG in 2020 though. He was running against incumbent Curtis Hill, a black man, who called Governor Holcomb's statewide Covid mandates Unconstitutional and got the ball rolling to what ended up with Holcomb having his emergency powers stripped from him after Curtis was voted out in the 2020 primaries.

Todd's fine though. He also ran against Holcomb after Pence took the VP spot and lost.

Poll: Majority of adults don't support overturning Roe v. Wade

Sixty-six percent of adults say they don't think the Supreme Court should overturn Roe v. Wade, according to an NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Tracking poll.

Democrats are overwhelmingly in favor of preserving the decision — 86 percent say it shouldn't be overturned, while 12 percent believe it should be overturned.

Independents feel similarly — 71 percent want to preserve the ruling, while 25 percent want to see it overturned.

Republicans are virtually split, with 50 percent supporting overturning Roe and 47 percent saying it shouldn't be overturned.

I doesn't matter.

If Democrats wanted to, they could codify the effects of Roe v Wade in Congress. Knowing full well it might be the last opportunity that they have in a generation to do so.

But they don't want to. They want to try to use this single issue to save the party in the elections.

The problem is, [establishment] Republicans aren't THAT much better than Dems on many issues.

They are mostly better on
border protection
2nd amendment,
don't follow the "woke" ideology,
budget-balancing

but they're
just as war- mongering
anti-choice
careless of the environment
just as anti-science as Dems (if not more so)
just as much in the pockets of the wealthy

On balance, it's hard to find a Republican who is head and shoulders above r their Dem rival. Trump was kind of a one-off.

Oh. I know. I generally have no use or love for Republicans. It's been so long since they've held any real power though that some days it's easy to forget how miserable most of that bunch is too. The Trump years don't count because even when Republicans held the power that Democrats hold today politically, the Legacy Media and Social Media kept everything in Democrat control anyhow.

They are mostly better on
border protection

Not really. Only relative to how batshit insane Democrats have been about the issue since Obama was elected.

2nd amendment,

Not really. Now is the perfect time to carve 2nd amendment rights in stone in SCOTUS, but they're chasing Roe v Wade instead. Republicans generally have no more interest in an armed citizenry than Democrats do. They just pretend that they do.

don't follow the "woke" ideology,

That's a huge one, and one of the large reasons that Democrats are done in November.

Quote:

budget-balancing

Not really. "Better" doesn't really mean anything when they still can't balance it.

but they're
just as war- mongering
anti-choice
careless of the environment
just as anti-science as Dems (if not more so)
just as much in the pockets of the wealthy

Yeah. They're fucking awful too.

On balance, it's hard to find a Republican who is head and shoulders above r their Dem rival. Trump was kind of a one-off.

Honestly, we didn't deserve Trump.

I hope things go the right way in the future where history will show what a great President he was, but I have very little reason to believe that this would ever be the case.

That was my idea first. 4 years ago. (See my post history).

Who's coming in here and stealing my idea and grooming the Democrat voting idiots to do smart things?
