Up here, the first mow is in May or June. We have some No Now lawns like that, but they get more sun than mine.
That is the whole point of No Mow May, to delay the FIRST MOW, idiot.

Why do you hate bees so much?

I start mowing in March. I have pride in my appearance.

We got bees around here. I'm assuming they're all coming from the redneck family down the street that has an overgrown weed garden for a lawn.

Around here, you're going to get a ticket if you let your lawn get 1/4 as long as the picture in the OP.

Good.

Don't pretend that your laziness is a virtue.

How very Democrat of you.

Oh, yes. With the United States suffering a critical bee population loss of over 45%, your backyard must be the one refuge where the bee population is not strangled.

Your Ultra Libtard Virtue Signalling is gagging. You could make up for your selfish idiocy by not eating food for a year, so the bees have less pollinating work to do.
That would be very Demoncrat of you, after your shortsighted Libtard Democrap narcissism.

March and April in WI, we park our snow on the lawn. There is no grass to mow. Grass is not growing under the snow.
The bees are already suffering a hard enough irradication plague.

This does make it easier to hunt down the weeds. And the roots of the grass get deeper and stronger.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Looks like my front yard did, not bc of "no mow May" but bc of treatments. As pollinator-friendly as I try to make my yard, I was amazed how many butterflies and bees were attracted to weeds!

Am since doing a cleanup... all of the weeds around here die by mid-May, creating a fire hazard!... I learned that pollinators prefer real nature, not a carefully-selected palette of plants, no matter HOW "pollinator friendly"!
