When I was a child, my Mother forbid me from smoking. I listened, as did my Father, but who had been smoking until he married my Mother. Father died of emphysema, but stopping immediately added years to his life. Others in his family claimed smoking was not that harmful. My Father lived decades longer than they did, which would be positive proof they were wrong about smoking. They were wrong about most important things which is why, generations later, their grandchildren are poor, semi-employed and Trump voters, while the grandchildren of my Father are rich and contemptuous of Trump the Tax Cheater.
