That sounds like an Advanced Placement course for Gen Z.

Why don't you start with just plain Literacy first, and once you can actually figure out how to get the kids to learn to read again you can move on to more advanced topics.

Ha ha ha! Exactly what I was thinking!

Altho, honestly, I imagine that anything that purports to be a "media literacy" class is just more brainwashing, telling kids to rely on "trusted sources". Also, instead of weeding out advertisements, they should also be taught to weed out OPINION AND SPIN AND ALLEGATION, which dominates so-called "news", and to pay attention to what's NOT in the news: i.e. what stories have been dropped or never made it into the news to begin with.

I would have kids bird-dog "news reports" to see if they can find ACTUAL FACTS in them (as opposed to "someone said"). I would also have them find contradictions or nonsensical statements within and between "news items", and I would have each one find a news item NOT reported in M$M.

Well, obviously it's just more brainwashing.

But thanks for stating what should be obvious for the vegetables in here like Second and Ted.

What is with the recent news about teaching?
Was it NY which just announced they will suspend minimum requirements for teachers? So teachers won't need to know anything in order to be qualified to indoctrinate?
