Do you know anything about this or know somebody who does? My Endo seems pretty disinterested in my C-Peptide change, which was very disappointing. I'm hoping once he sees this in conjunction with the 366% increase in C-Peptide he takes a little more interest in it. I've read online that treatment to reduce GAD65 can range from plasma exchanges, to drugs to chemotherapy. I'm just eating better and taking vitamins and I cut it in half. -------------------------------------------------- Political correctness is just tyranny, with a smiley face.

I saw a hesdline just yesterday about vitamin D helping kids with Type 1. Didn't have time to read it, sorry. But it seemed like it needed a massive dose and i don't think youre taking massive doses of vita D. Those changes seem meaningful to me, but I'm not a Dr Endo. Do you know if yhey intend to test again in, say, three to six months? Bc if it keeps changing in a good direction that establishes a positive trend.

I'm kind of beat right now, I think I got a little deflated by the tentative dx, but I can look around and see if there's anything open that might be meaningful to you. The body has a million ways to screw up, but it also can fix itself. So I'm hopeful that whatever threw you off course, whatever you're doing seems to be working. So keep on doing what you're doing and in the meantime I can poke around the internet and see if I can find anything useful.
Quote:Been busting ass taking care of lots of stupid shit and right now tired. Also got a tentative dx, that Dr ENT is sending to my Dr Rheum (boy, I sure have a lot of specialists keeping track of me! I managed to drop Dr Cardio, but picked up Dr ENT instead. Also still have Dr Onco, Dr Onco surgeon, Dr Rheum, and Dr Nephro. A lot of it curcling around autoimmunity. ) So if Dr ENT is correct that's another monoclonal antibody infusion im looking forward to. Oh, yipee. But it might also explain my poor kidney function, high ferritin, and high-ish cancer marker.

I think October of next year is when they discontinue updates for Windows 10, and I know this thing isn't going to be able to install Windows 11, so unless I want to learn Linux I'm going to be forced to upgrade then anyhow. I've been hearing about how trash Windows 11 is with forced ads everywhere though, so I might make that switch to Linux regardless. -------------------------------------------------- Political correctness is just tyranny, with a smiley face.

Quote:Well, the guy got to my place a bit after I got back from my walk. Hoses under the bathroom sink needs replacing and he will get it unclogged as well. Told him that I had been trying to get that done since just after I moved in here. Kitchen tap needs replacing and the trap is rusty so that will be replaced as well. He said he will contact me in two or three weeks to see when he can get this work done. I think it will be longer than that.

That's what his note said and the reason for the inspection. Strange. It's probably not even a job for a plumber. Unless somebody has leaky pipes upstairs that are flowing down the walls and are only noticeable in the basement where the pipes are exposed, it's much more likely a temperature control issue in the basement. But if somebody had a leaky pipe, there would probably be a lot more evidence of water pooling somewhere on the ground too, and not just condensation on the pipes. Don't know what plumbers charge per hour in Canada, but around these parts the only time I'm calling a plumber is after I've exhausted all other possibilities and I've just recently fallen down a flight of stairs and cracked my neck and incapable of doing any work on my own. At least you don't have to pay the plumber to get work done. None of that work is likely to have anything to do with the condensation problem in the basement, but fortune smiles upon you if a month from now you've got a kitchen sink that works from top to bottom. I just bought a new kitchen faucet online that should arrive in a few weeks myself. Not at all looking forward to installing it, but really looking forward to having free flowing hot water again and not having to spend 30 minutes filling up the sink with hot water anymore. -------------------------------------------------- Political correctness is just tyranny, with a smiley face.

SIX: I think that's probably the case in most apartment complexes unless you're living in some gated community 4-star complex. Hopefully they at least get you a properly working faucet installed. We could probably fix the draining issue on our own. You got to look on the bright side though. Whatever you're dealing with currently is still a huge step up from that last renting situation you were in, right?

We could probably fix the draining issue on our own. You got to look on the bright side though. Whatever you're dealing with currently is still a huge step up from that last renting situation you were in, right? I think it's great that they're actually doing maintenance on the building. I believe I've read that they were working on the elevators and the wiring. Now, the plumbing. It may take them a while to get to it, just make sure you remind them frequently of all of the things they said they would do, if you have any way of keeping in touch. Or give the building manager a list, and keep one for yourself, and whenever the plumbers show up give them a copy and make sure they address the most important ones. AFA slow drains ... if they are iron waste pipes (I have no idea how old the building is, but I suspect its on the older side) the pipes could be rusted shut, or at least significantly narrowed. We had our waste pipes replaced with ABS about three years ago bc the main kitchen drain rusted shut, and many of the other lines were at 25% capacity. The only fix for that was to replace them. Rusted traps can break through if you try to snake them out aggressively. What can be done depends how thin the metal is. Most landlords just let rentals run down. Although I know it's a huge inconvenience, I'm pleased every time I read that they're doing maintenance, and my only hope is that they do a good job that won't have to be revisited in 5 years. ----------- "It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal." - Henry Kissinger Loving America is like loving an addicted spouse - SIGNYM

I forget the brand, but it's blue tape with chartreuse lettering on it. Possibly 3M. I used it a lot when we were painting dear daughter's room with those four horizontal stripes that went all the way around. Boy, THAT was a job!
