Perhaps factionialism is killing Western culture, the divisions and political splits attack art itself

Where is the culture of the USA going, in one group you have the Antifa, the new group would attack people for offending a transexual or an islamic, a confused Leftwing mob mixed with the BLM Rappers and Marxists who literally were burning and looting cities like a horde. Can people explain the death of Hollywood, David Bordwell said "art cinema itself is a film genre, with its own distinct conventions." Is music also said to be dying in 'The West'?
The high society had access to more books, they could pay for music performance and art shows, they lived in mansions or areas with quality of housing, clothing, servants and dining were visible marks of membership.
For a while the Left was seen as more representative of the worker class, with the Antifa BLM riots their claim to represent common culture might have changed and may be a lie today.
On the other 'Right' side maybe also very silly the Redneck, the Proudyboy, the barbarians, the Philistines, the Q-Anon and and hoi polloi the riot mob at the Capitol and the masses
...they have a Wrestler entertainment guy Hulk Hogan he turns up at the Convention

Perhaps speaking for the common workers has died or perhaps the posh well trained sophisticated 'high culture' is dying on both sides, contrasted with the Lower Cultures or term low culture.

In rooms and disco of Europe there was a culture of stims, terrible electronic music and the Use of Drugs within the Techno Party Scene in European Clubs, type of MDMA (Ecstasy) , other amphetamine derivatives with pharmacological properties of mescaline

BRENDA

I'm sure even in prehistoric times prehistoric man knew about stimulants while beating on a tree stump.

Art, music and writing are living things and as such they evolve over time.

Like going from cave paintings to Roman and Greek statues to early Christian icons to Michelangelo's painting of the Sistine chapel and his statue David. To men like Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Picasso. Neo-realism in art.

Prehistoric man beating on a tree stump to pounding on a hollow log and finding out they could make different sounds depending where they hit. To making wooden flutes and rattles that could entertain a child or be used in a ceremony for whatever. To making actual drums. In Renaissance times and with the working of metals, you had metal flutes and rattles that could make complex notes that made music. Organs for churches and then harpsicords the forerunner of the modern day piano, to the beginnings of stringed instruments and wood winds that made even more complex music.

Writing as well from Roman and Greeks philosophers like Socrates and Plato to Homer's Iliad. Egyptian books written on papyrus in hieroglyphics. To again as you mention in your title poetry and romantic writing. Stories and fables to teach lessons to children. Books about things that don't exist so your own imagination can take flight for pure enjoyment.
