I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

With all of the focus on Trump, there is almost nothing posted here about MAGA as a movement. But I think MAGA is just as powerful and just as long- lasting as any of the other movements propelled by a majority of the population - environmental movement and women's movement, for example.

MAGA can be interpreted in as many ways as people envision American greatness:
As a world -smothering military hegemon/ "world cop" or as an isolationist nation
As an industrial behemoth belching out pollution to a pristine landscape in environmental harmony

I have my own vision for making America Great Again, and it's not Project 2025, and it's not "America, world cop", and it's not "America, profligate energy-waster" and it's not "America, fascist state".

Given that MAGA might mean many different things, why does "the left" fight MAGA instead of embracing it?

I think I know why, but maybe SECOND and THGR can tell us. And, no, "Trump" is not an answer.

I don't know what to make of it at times since I'm not in the USA

but from what I seen of the original Trump he was a populist and an outsider, he leaned Democrat a long time ago but perhaps thought Democrats rigged their own system so ran as a Republican

1There is a general feeling, maybe anger and positive energy to change the United States of America getting ripped off while having pride in their country, get away from war and stop being the world's police force. The policeman of Earth sometimes seen as politically rigged a damned if you do damned if you don't no win situation.
2The tv media...Trump was an outsider and the media antics and dirty tactics are more exposed than ever
3illegals...walls...Respect a country when you go to it, the USA welcomes people but not rapists, gun runners, human traffickers, islamists you name it turning up at the border
4He innovated and improvised his campaign. Donald Trump used social media vs Hillary and they were not prepared instead using the old CNN, Fox, MSNBC and newspaper system

I haven't even watched Trump's victory speech.

I bet Second and Ted have heard 5 or 10 out of context soundbytes from it a dozen times each already though.
