President Trump will hold a press conference Monday morning with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to announce an executive order to cap prescription drug and pharmaceutical prices at the lowest cost offered in any other country. He announced a plan to "institute a most-favored nation's policy whereby the U.S. will pay the same price as the nation that pays the lowest price anywhere in the world."

He called the executive order “one of the most consequential Executive Orders in our Country’s history.”

"Prescription Drug and Pharmaceutical prices will be REDUCED, almost immediately, by 30% to 80%. They will rise throughout the World in order to equalize," Trump also said.

Your move, Democrats.

Oh... wait.

We just stole your move. You've been saying you were going to do this for 40 years now.

Dunno yet. Like I keep saying, I've never seen this movie before.

One thing I do know is that I will be able to verify this quite easily, given that I do have prescriptions. I'll give an honest assessment of my own situation over the next couple of months and see what, if anything, changes. I've saved every prescription sheet/receipt since day one, so I've got more than enough data to compare it to.

These prices are stupid, stupid high... especially on the tech stuff. So I could see tons of room for those to come down.

For instance, a 3 pack of 10 day CGM monitors gets billed to insurance at nearly $800. 96% of this device is the handheld "boot" you use to hold the thing while you're installing it and it's a one use device that gets thrown out. The other 4% of the thing is the gauze/glue that holds it to you, the hairlike piece of metal that gets injected, and the plastic bit with a bit of electrolytic grease around it for you to put your (VERY EXPENSIVE) 90 day battery/trasnmitter inside.

$800 for what amounts to enough plastic and metal to make something that would cost $4 if those materials were used to form something that would be sitting on a WalMart shelf instead. And that's not even with the battery to power it or the trasnmitter that sends the data where it needs to go. That one tiny piece costs another $600 every 90 days. And once all that's done, we haven't even started talking about insulin prices (way, way, way, way higher than $35 like the Biden* admin was constantly lying about), on top of whatever delivery system is used. The pods I'm using now are almost as expensive as the sensors, and you throw those away every 3 days.

Don't get me started on contact lenses too. A 6-months supply of 2-week disposable contacts was over $500 before bidenflation. I don't even know what it is now. There's not even enough plastic in those to make a 2-liter bottle cap, and they make $500 off of it.

I don't think this one should be sitting at the bottom of the heap today, do you?

Was looking for the smoking gun and why I should care about it.

Found it...

But she had recently come under criticism from Laura Loomer, a far-right ally of Trump who was instrumental in ousting several members of the president’s National Security Council. Loomer posted on X earlier this week that “we can’t have a pro-COVID vaccine nepo appointee who is currently embroiled in a medical malpractice case and who didn’t go to medical school in the US” as the surgeon general.

Is all of that true?

I don't feel like researching every little thing that every politician and crook say out loud.

If it's true. I'm glad she's out. Not sure why anybody would have picked her in the first place though if it is true. Trump and Kennedy and their teams had to know a pro-Covid "vaccine", let alone the rest of that list would be a bad look.

I wonder what she did to get herself on the shitlist last minute.
