The Fed was created in 1913 in a way that insulates it from having to ask Congress for its funding or from taking direction from the White House. The Government Accountability Office isn’t even allowed to audit the Fed’s dealings.

No provision in the Constitution permits the creation of a federal fiefdom that sits outside the three branches of government. President Wilson didn’t care about such technicalities, and he didn’t have the support to pass a proper constitutional amendment. Democrats rammed his proposal through Congress anyway on a near party-line vote.

Wilson’s central bank was supposed to steer the nation away from financial crises and end the curse of inflation, but it has failed spectacularly on both counts. Since the first time a Roman emperor realized he could swindle the public by diluting the amount of gold and silver in the coins, government meddling in monetary matters has never helped ordinary citizens.

The Fed needs reforming, and the president has a unique opportunity to reshape its operations if he can survive the legal challenge. Ms. Cook hopes a Democratic-appointed federal court judge will preserve her prestigious title and salary, but her case is weak. Under the statute, governors can be removed “for cause.”

If Mr. Pulte’s allegations are correct, her ouster is as legitimate as it gets.

I just lost any and all respect for her after she made a big deal about having all the Epstein files on her desk, and then releasing those binders to a bunch of right-wing dipshit political influencers with noting inside but highly redacted versions of documents that were all leaked years ago.

This is the one single issue that TDS sufferers like Ted can glom onto right now, and it's all Pam Bondi's fault.

Now... maybe she was forced into that position because I'm right and Trump is either sitting on that info until right before the midterm or 2028 elections and/or is currently using that info to blackmail other world leaders in these trade agreements right now, but regardless...

She is ballast that needs to be cut. She should resign and we can just use this to replace her with somebody better.

I give her a pass, for now, on Epstein. She was new in the job, and, like Trump the first time around, may have assume the Libtards running the shitshow were not evil a-holes. She may have conjured there were at least a few competent people in the agencies.

I was dismayed when Trump ditched Gen Mike Flynn, which he eventually found out he screwed up, he stabbed him in the back while pulling the rug out from under him, just as the minions of Deep State wanted him to. Trump was too rash then.
Maybe he is more measured now, and not as gullible. He has learned to keep his kids out of the fray, out of the target zone.
Maybe she eventually needs to be cut, I'm not convinced yet. But for now, I prefer there is some stability in important roles in D.C. If she was another Merritless Garland, then I agree she should be shot on sight - but she clearly is not in that camp, and she is doing far more than anybody else in that job in decades.

I prefer she is not axed until in the job at least a year - unless she has been copying Gov Cook, or Cameltoe Harris.
