We had a series of rain storms that started last Saturday Nov 15 and didn't end until Thursday. It rained a wee bit over 5 1/2" across five days, which is an astonishing start to the rainy season during a la Nina year, and more showers are expected next week Wednesday. Once this weather pattern shifts I think the fun will be done fir quite a while, but the plants are sure happy. Bless Lady Rain!

I dunno but I'm still having a hard time getting my rear in gear. It's like my engine catches but then sputters and dies. I'll aim for small stuff today.

I'm trying to figure out if this is real or not. I thought whales have barnacles on them?

And if real, what is the reason for dolphins and whales to be traveling together, or at least in the same direction?

Despite the fact that I do next to nothing for Thanksgiving aside from doing takeout, it's been strangely hectic. Probably has to do with various family appointments this month, because I have to be at all of them. I'll have to check the calendar for next month, see how busy I'm going to be then.

I had dear daughter get my Xmas gift ... a 2026 calendar... early, so I can start marking that up too. It's a calendar with all those picturesque New England fishing villages. Aside from the harsh winters, I wouldn't mind living there.

Speaking of harsh winters... western NY got a significant snowfall yesterday and today, and for the foreseeable will hover between just above freezing during the day and below freezing at night

In the AM, or sometimes the night before, I make a list of things to do. Usually overambitious. But I haven't been penciling in anything fun or rewarding, and I just realized that.

But, yeah, don't want to make "having fun" another chore!

I don't get it. My knees were perfectly fine a year ago. I was walking and doing yardwork and all kinds of stuff. Now I can barely hobble around.
