Yup. We've already eliminated the entire military pretense on Kharg Island while leaving the entire oil infrastructure intact.

I think Trump and Co. are barking up the wrong tree here though...

The UK has very little to lose, at least directly, if the oil infrastructure of the island was wiped out. However, 91% of the oil that is processed through this terminal is bought by China.

Maybe China should be involved.

J/K though... I think the long-term goal here with this entire Iran situation was really to bring China to heel, even though the media hasn't discussed that possibility as of yet.

If you're going to ask UK or any European country to pitch in and do some work taking Iran down, you'd better sell it to them. If I were in a leadership position of the UK or any European nation I wouldn't care to get involved in this unless somebody either gave me a rock-solid guaranty that there would be great ROI for participating and/or somebody painted a very convincing picture of how much my people had to lose if we didn't get involved.

It's a runaway train at this point. The only thing that can help us now is if the worldwide changes that Trump is trying to accomplish gives us a massive multi-trillion cash infusion over the next couple of decades.

Because once he's gone, there isn't anybody on either side that is ever going to do anything to reign in the spending. Everybody on each side always says they will before an election and it only gets worse.

We keep going on this trajectory, we'll be $100 Trillion in debt by 2040, easy.
