I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Just like the birth of Christ (Christmas) is conflated with winter soltice (Dec 21 or 22), Christ's resurrection is conflated with spring and rebirth.

Either way, they're all good reasons to celebrate.

I had originally written a reply to Jaynez about how it's not a shocking revolution in 2026 that a lot of our holidays have been injected with paganism and rituals, but then I deleted it and just said Happy Easter instead.

I still think its kind of 'Pagan'

Bunnies were probably a European Arab thing from long ago which symbolized fertility and spring

also called a bunch of names in other languages, Pasch or Pascha, a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus or 'Christos' from the dead

Anyways with all these Bunny and Egg symbols its possible a festival existed before Christianity did and resurrection of Jesus Christ, some elements of traditions have pagan roots. The name "Easter" or it might have Germanic, Babylon, Arab Pagan and Amglo Saxon fertility elements to it, fertility Pagan shepherd gods and an ancient goddess in ancient Mesopotamia

Yanno JAYNZE, having grown up near Buffalo NY, where winters are cold and very, very snowy.... it was so exciting to look for a hidden Easter basket, and get into my patent-leather shoes and Easter dress to go to Easter mass and then Easter b'fast with the "big" family. Sure, sometimes my smooth-soled dressy shoes slipped on the snow and we had to wear big coats over our dresses but still. We could look forward to crocuses blooming and the grass greening and eventually the trees buds making a green haze in the twigs.

Spring! Yay!

What's not to celebrate?
