Award winning director, producer and actor Ed Asner is the latest high profile public figure to voice his support for Charlie Sheen's stance on 9/11 and share his own concerns about 9/11, the war in Iraq and the Neo-Cons.

Speaking to The Alex Jones Show Asner, best known for his Emmy-winning role as Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, echoed Charlie Sheen's sentiments in stating, "I became suspicious of 9/11 on the day it happened."

"I will always be that suspect of it and challenge it and challenge various points of it," said Asner.

Asner agreed that the official story of 9/11 and the Kean Commission investigation was a fable and a fraud.

"I do not buy it and I would challenge it, I know all of these points....the standing down," said Asner.

Asner questioned why no authority figures had been fired for their inability to prevent 9/11.

"Nobody in high office has ever paid the penalty for keeping us unprepared for 9/11, no one has paid the price and I cite the fact that Abu Ghraib was another typical example of the way this government works," said Asner.

"It's very easy to think of 9/11 to think of being yet another cause of being able to generate war in this country, " said Asner as he compared 9/11 to past examples of manufactured provocations such as the Gulf of Tonkin incident, the attack on the Maine and Pearl Harbor.

"Many of the purported hijackers are living persons elsewhere," said Asner highlighting a story reported by BBC and others that several of the so-called perpetrators of 9/11 visited their embassies in protest that they had been identified as terrorists.

Asked who gained from 9/11 Asner answered, "Certainly the military has, Halliburton, Brown and Root, Mr. Cheney's old outfit....the oil companies of course now with record highs, and the White House is of course involved with oil and the military and always has been."

Asner doubted that another terror attack needed to be staged in order to accomplish more of the same agenda.

Asner questioned why CNN chose to cancel his scheduled spot on Showbiz Tonight. After speaking to inside sources within CNN we were able to confirm that the order came down from a higher office to "kill" the story, despite the fact that the issue had generated the most interest Showbiz Tonight had ever encountered.

Asner is a true humanitarian and is an activist in the fields of missing US PoW's, depleted uranium, which Asner suggested was a deliberate population reduction method, and the fight to get the FDA to eliminate deadly thimerosal mercury additives to vaccines.

His public stance on 9/11 and his support of Charlie Sheen helps in the ongoing effort to encourage public figures with large media platforms to step forward and become prominent voices for the 9/11 truth movement.

As the Charlie Sheen story ends its second week and with cookie-cutter establishment hit pieces continuing to be churned out, the attack dogs are facing an intensifying backlash from a clear majority of educated American citizens who are sick and tired of the sneering elitism of the mainstream media.

The most recent high profile attack came courtesy of government apologist and former White House media relations mouthpiece Betsy Hart, whose columns are syndicated to over 350 US newspapers.

After this website issued a rebuttal to her ridiculous assertion that people have serious doubts about 9/11because they "fear Islamic terrorism," a sweeping conspiracy theory that fails to address any of the evidence, her blog has been inundated with responses from educated individuals politely reminding her to get her facts straight before commenting on such a broad subject.

"Which is scarier? A rogue group of maniac terrorists on the other side of the globe that are willing to kill American citizens to achieve a political end or a powerful, secretive and utterly corrupt government right here at home that is willing to do the same," asked one respondent.

Another addresses Hart's inability to comprehend that the government would stage events for political gain in citing the recent Bush Blair memo on Iraq that discussed painting a US spy plane in UN colors and goading Saddam to shoot it down to create a pretext for war.

Hart's article was immediately subject to one retraction after she claimed the Alex Jones Show had referred to her as a whore in trying to book her as a guest. This was libelous and wholly untrue, leading Scripps Howard to edit the piece hours after it had gone online. Are we to trust Hart with her research skills if she doesn't even know how to check the 'from' box in her Outlook Express?

At time of press Hart's blog comments section has 88 replies to her story and you'd be hard pushed to find one that backs her up. Obviously, we encouraged people to give her their thoughts but even before we did so the comments were still running about 90% against and a similar figure can be observed in response to the rest of the hit pieces.

An entire website, Bravo Charlie 9/11, has been created to act as a clearing house for the deluge of thanks, appreciation and support evoked for Sheen. The site already has 400 posts commending Sheen for his courageous stance.

Last Friday's article in which Charlie Sheen invited his detractors to challenge him on the facts was deliberately ignored by the sneering media elite blowhards as they continue to put forth all manner of trivial nothingness in a doomed attempt to retain their spot on the esteemed Neo-Con peanut gallery.

Junior high sophomoric meanderings about Charlie Sheen losing interest in his car and associations with Michael Jackson's ramblings about Jews ruining his life do not answer Sheen's challenge.

Something celeb hack Marina Hyde failed to do in a piece slated for Saturday morning's London Guardian.

Hyde rebuts her slew of opposing e mails after her first Sheen hit piece, by pulling the bed sheets over her eyes and squealing that it was "only a bit of fun" as she again subtly equates Charlie Sheen with drug addiction by mentioning a character he played in a 20 year old movie.

Hyde tries to back-peddle by minimizing the importance of her article and yet her other pieces prove that she has written on serious topics before and her articles are viewed by a readership of hundreds of thousands in what many consider to be Britain's most respected newspaper.

Former MI5 agent David Shayler, another vocal proponent of the 9/11 truth movement, slammed Hyde for joking about the subject in an attempt to trivialize Sheen's argument.

Now people have obviously postulated that they were going perhaps to attack the White House, Capitol Hill. That looks to me like an attempt to destroy American government and declare a state of emergency, in fact a coup de'tat, a violent coup de'tat."

If you're old enough to be reading this column you'll certainly remember where you were and what you were doing when you learned jet airliners had been deliberately flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center.

While Mr. Oswald was plucked from his seat and arrested at a Dallas movie theatre exactly eighty minutes after the president was murdered, Mr. Bin Laden was fingered as the grand architect of the WTC attacks before Tower 1 collapsed, 102 minutes after impact.

Speaking of the building's collapse, actor Charlie Sheen, who was born in New York City and has appeared in two Oliver Stone films, was a recent guest (March 20) on The Alex Jones Show―a nationally syndicated talk radio program devoted mainly to conspiracy theories.

“It seems to me,” said Mr. Sheen, “like 19 amateurs with box cutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75% of their targets―that feels like a conspiracy theory. It raises a lot of questions.... When the buildings came down later on that day I said to my brother, 'Call me insane, but did it sorta look like those buildings came down in a controlled demolition?'”

Conspiracy theory and wild speculation has thrived since the day of the attacks, but the Sheen interview marks a turning point, a paradigm shift, in the popular consciousness―much like the 1969 New Orleans trial of Clay Shaw, where prosecutor Jim Garrison, played in Mr. Stone's JFK by Kevin Costner, showed to the jury Abraham Zapruder's home movie of JFK's head being blown “back, and to the left,” supposedly indicating a second gunman on the grassy knoll. After the 1979 House Select Committee on Assassinations report, which concluded that, “Scientific acoustical evidence establishes a high probability that two gunmen fired at President John F. Kennedy,” American opinion was already inured to the notion that the government might've killed their own chief executive.

Were Alex Jones and Charlie Sheen the most prominent or credible doubters of the 9/11 Commission Report's explanation of the three skyscrapers' collapsing, it wouldn't be much of a debate. But some of the Commission's doubters carry credentials too legitimate to ignore.

Steven E. Jones, a physics professor at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, has published a paper, Why Indeed Did the WTC Buildings Collapse, suggesting that “WTC 7 and the Twin Towers were brought down, not just by impact damage and fires, but through the use of pre-positioned cutter-charges.”

Morgan Reynolds, former chief economist for the Department of Labor during George W. Bush's first term and now professor emeritus at Texas A&M University has offered his opinion that, "If demolition destroyed three steel skyscrapers at the World Trade Center on 9/11, then the case for an 'inside job' and a government attack on America would be compelling."

Paul Craig Roberts, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan administration, a former associate editor of the Wall Street Journal, and author of Supply-Side Revolution: An Insider's Account of Policymaking in Washington, and Meltdown: Inside the Soviet Economy, among other books, pointed out, in a February 6 essay published at counterpunch.org, “We know the government lied about Iraqi WMD, but we believe the government told the truth about 9/11.”

According to Dr. Robert M. Bowman Lt. Col., USAF, ret. who holds a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Nuclear Engineering from Caltech, the NORAD exercises―a mock drill which simulated planes crashing into buildings on the east coast―conducted on the morning of September 11 were a deliberate cover to confuse NORAD personnel.

"The exercises that went on that morning,” said Mr. Bowman on Alex Jones's show, “simulating the exact kind of thing that was happening so confused the people in the FAA and NORAD....that they didn't they didn't know what was real and what was part of the exercise.”

So, if not Mr. Bin Laden, who was responsible for the 9/11 attacks?

"If I had to narrow it down to one person,” said Mr. Bowman, “I think my prime suspect would be Dick Cheney."

With―according to an August, 2004 Zogby poll―half of New Yorkers suspecting government leaders "knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act," and an informal CNN Showbiz Tonight poll showing that 83 per cent of respondents agree with Charlie Sheen that “the US government covered up the real events of the 9/11 attacks,” it seems this debate will likely outlive us all.

“September 11,” said Mr. Sheen, “wasn't the Zapruder film. It was the Zapruder film festival.”

Over the past month Charlie Sheen's comments on 9/11 have sent shockwaves throughout the media and caused a firestorm of both support and establishment hit pieces. Sheen made history Friday night when he became the first high profile figure to bring serious questions about 9/11 to the forum of the late night talk show.

Sheen's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live is a watershed moment and it takes place at a time when the questioning of 9/11 has seeped into popular culture to a degree where the dam is really starting to break.

If Charlie Sheen had walked out on the same stage three years ago he might have expected to hear a chorus of boos. As it was Sheen was given a warm reception and he outlined his stance superbly in stating, "I felt the only real validation that I needed was being a tax paying citizen that loves my country." For that statement Sheen received further applause and he went on to succinctly clarify why he had boldly stepped up to the plate with his initial comments about 9/11.

"I've done a lot of research," said Sheen, referring to the growing number of high-profile individuals who have already bravely stepped forward to ask questions about 9/11, stating "...its not just me, its the people that have come before me - the experts and the engineers, the physicists and the scientists and the scholars, that raised a lot of these things and I took a look at their research and said yeah, it doesn't add up, a lot of it doesn't add up, hence these questions."

Sheen was sharp to focus in on just two important topics to peak the interest of the viewer and not leave them muddled as to what he was actually highlighting.

"There are two areas," said Sheen, "Building 7 and the five frames from the Pentagon. Don't listen to me, do your own research."

The latter statement served to dismiss allegations in the hit pieces that Sheen had encountered that he was somehow not qualified to have an opinion on certain issues because he was a Hollywood actor with a colorful past. A relevent rhetorical questions to ask would be, if Einstein had been caught drink driving would that take away from the theory of relativity?

On the other hand we have a President with widely publicized past and present alcohol and stress related problems. The mainstream attempted to convey a double standard in order to distance themselves from even mentioning Sheen's insistence on talking about hardcore evidence.

Sheen addressed the hit pieces themselves and the fact that they uniformly failed to answer his invitation to challenge him on the precise issues and questions he was raising.

"[The mainstream media] didn't really take a look at any of the stuff I was asking them to look at, any of the evidence or any of the stuff that generated those questions..."

Charlie Sheen has received support from numerous different areas after his public stance gathered steam and his admirable courage in putting his entire career on the line to draw attention to 9/11 should be commended.

Following the broadcast of the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, Alex Jones spoke with Sheen about his views concerning the interview. Sheen made the following statement:

"This is a landmark moment in the 9/11 Truth Movement. We have fired a flaming arrow into the heart of the myopic propaganda posing as the irrefutable official story. Come one, come all, the floodgates have opened! Reveal your patriotism."

Universally people recognize that his courageous stand has smashed the floodgates and the tide has now turned.
