MISBEHAVEN

The following is an excerpt from President Bush's weekly (Nov. 11) radio address. Sounds like someone might be a little upset that he didn't implement martial law and declare himself "Premier Warlord Bush."

"One freedom that defines our way of life is the freedom to choose our leaders at the ballot box. We saw that freedom earlier this week, when millions of Americans went to the polls to cast their votes for a new Congress. Whatever your opinion of the outcome, all Americans can take pride in the example our democracy sets for the world by holding elections even in a time of war."

It never got weird enough for me.

ANTIMASON

take it from the royal Rothschild family, or their colleagues the Rockefellers at the Federal Reserve, who've always used the unsurpassed political funds of a monopolous central bank to grease the skids of their global government agenda(including those potentially deceitful electronic voter machines)

SOUPCATCHER

Doesn't surprise me at all. If you listen to Bush's remarks right after the election his basic point was that people just didn't understand. The same thing with Rumsfeld's remarks. He basically said that Americans were too stupid to understand what was going on in Iraq. To digress a bit, there is a small element of truth in that statement. We do not have a good understanding of what is going on in Iraq. And that's squarely the blame of the administration and the media who have not done a good job. But I think all the evidence shows that Rumsfeld doesn't understand what is going on either. And that's a lot more dangerous since he was the one making the decisions.

Many of our politicians actually don't want to listen to what the citizens are saying. Look at Lieberman in Connecticut. Bush is famous for making up his mind based on his gut instinct and then purposefully refusing to accept any information that goes against his guts. Do you remember his dismissal of hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) of Americans marching through the streets of this country in February of 2003 calling for him to not rush into Iraq? Just a focus group. When you equate genuine disapproval with opinions that you have paid for, that's just assinine.

There is a whole breed of career politicians that think they're better than us. That think that getting elected is a blank check and that they never have to pay attention to their constituents again. They need to be reminded about what the Declaration of Independence says. We have entrusted them to serve as our representatives. If they break that trust, then we'll choose someone else. But incumbents do everything in their power (from token campaign finance reforms, to gerrymandering, to teaming up with corporations etc.) to make sure they stay in power.

They have all the advantages. They always do. That's what makes us special.

Congress never declared war, so Jr Bush was never commander in chief. But Jr Bush was convicted and demoted from pilot to mail clerk for disobeying a lawful order for drug test, and sentenced to 6 months extra duty for desertion of Vietnam Wars.
