Let throw out what strawmen have been used against us, maybe why that wasn't what we said/meant, and even go into the way we perceive how others incorrectly perceive US...

Every gorram time I stress how we shouldn't have invaded Iraq, I get "So you want the terrorists to do as they please, and invade the U.S. and destroy our way of life?"
Some other things I obviously want:
I want Mexicans to take my job.
I want Uncle Sam to be my nanny.
I want guns in childrens' hands.
I want kids to screw like chimps.
I want Bush to go back to Hell, since he's obviously the Devil.
I want Saddam alive again so I can live under his rule.
I want Hero to represent me in court...okay, well, I've never heard THAT one...

Peeps might see me as a utopian lefty, but I believe in kicking ass when it's warranted. I trust the Dims to mess up as consistently as the Pugs. I believe in responsible gun ownership (tho I have no need of one personally).

I believe, however, there is a correct perception that I tend not to take much very seriously, including my own self at times.

I don't get much of it, I guess since my first response to a strawman is a flamethrower, but I do find amusement in folks referring to being pissed over the Constitution being spat on as "hysterics"... so I guess the american revolution was just PMS then, eh ?

I hate when republicans say stuff....man that sucks....because it's always something terrible that'll happen in the future. I swear every one of em's a psychic. Nothing ever comes true like Iran having nukes. But the republicans will correct you, they still might start a nuke program!
