Are you planning to caucus or attend a primary in your state? If so, who's your horse?

Me: tomorrow, caucus, Obama. (I'm thumbing my nose at anyone who thought they had my ideological commitments nailed down! )

Bah, only reason I would attend one of those mutual buttkissing circlejerks would be to instigate a riot, which, come to think of it, ain't a half bad idea...

Currently re-reading The Stainless Steel Rat for President and snickering to myself here in the dark.

Don't blink.

You never heard of the Stainless Steel Rat ?

AIEEE, BLASPHEMYYYYY!!!

It's a series by Harry Harrison, the guy who wrote make room, make room! which got turned into the movie Soylent Green.

The Stainless Steel Rat is James Bolivar DiGriz, aka "Slippery Jim" and just about any alias you could imagine, general rogue, con man, crook and anarchist... often stuck in an on-again, off-again relationship with the special corps, kind of a galactic UN, as a troubleshooter (or was that troublemaker? )

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stainless_Steel_Rat

I'm a big fan of the initial seven books, not so much after, but this one's really classic.

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

I remember reading the Stainless Steel Rat series when I was a teenager.

I remember at the beginning of his career, he enacted a poorly-executed bank heist in order to get arrested. He wanted to go to jail so that he could learn from Master Criminals. He actually had to set off the bank alarm himself, because the employees were too compliant.

It was only after being arrested that he realized that the Master Criminals weren't in jail...

Slippery Jim is quite the amusing character. Nice thread-jack, btw. Subtle. No resistance. Slippery Jim would be proud.

Being a registered Democrat, I'm hard pressed to chose between Obama and Edwards. I suppose I should go look and see if it is too late to switch republican and toss a vote to Paul. NY state, so a primary. And yes, I'll go.

I think if I was a Democrat, which I ain't, lol, and I could convince myself that Edwards was sincere, he'd get my vote.

There's just something about him that I can't bring myself to trust. MIght be that he's a lawyer. Nah, that couldn't be it. Could it?

I attended (my first caucus ever). It was enlightening.

I was the only one there who voted for my candidate, out of 44 voting. Guess who?

STOWEAWAY

I'm a Democrat living in the state of SC.
So voting in the South Carolina primary is the only time my vote counts.
Of course I'm gonna vote!!!
(But I don't know who I'm voting for yet)
