McCain never said he was in favor of 100 yrs of war. Classic Left wing distortion game.

Fine; in the spirit of bi-partisanship I give you this one:
(Now before anyone gets offended that I'm making fun of their candidates, democrats, Iraqis, Iranians, or whoever I just was going with the "He's an old man" thing and this is the kind of thing I hear old people say.)

You have to understand for eight years, EIGHT!, we’ve had to listen to Bush-hating Democrat clowns repeat the same ideologically driven jokes over and over and over and over and then listen to them laugh hysterically at their own jokes like some idiot in a helmet. Yes, we all get it. You think Republicans are idiots and Bush is a fascist - the first couple of times it was funny. I laughed, eight years ago. The one thing that I will never forgive the Bush-haters for is killing political humor.

Although I do have to admit the Del Boca Vista thing was pretty funny.

..and this is different from eight years of Clinton jokes by the Limbaugh crowd how..??

look, Finn... i'm not a hater... really, and i don't think all Republicans are idiots... Me? I see something i think is amusing and i just want to share... and since i am the only left leaning person in this building - or this entire town as far as i can tell - i post here - out of self-preservation if nothing else.... just the little things that keep a person sane in an insane world..

honest, i mean no offense - so, please feel free to hit me with your best shot... i can take it

but i just don't agree that political humor is dead - just wait until a Democrat is elected president and see how fast you change your mind...

Quite a few of them, much of the Clinton material had to with marital infidelity, Hillary and promiscuity, not just Lewinsky. But this was mostly light stuff, and it’s not like it wasn’t based on a completely true nature. Clinton was a fratboy - there was no doubt he loved to play. The difference is that the Bush-hater jokes aren’t really jokes at all, but disguised attempts at libel, political rhetoric or outright hatred. It’s one thing to make fun of a man for promiscuity who is repeatedly caught in marital infidelity - it’s something completely different to accuse a man of being a murderer, a terrorist or a fascist because you don’t agree with a political policy.

My mind won’t change. I said the same thing about Clinton. You know some people were calling Clinton a terrorist - largely over Bosnia. You may not remember this, because unlike the current political environment, most people largely avoided this kind of rhetoric, because it’s not funny. For those that didn’t, I told them the same thing that I tell the Bush-haters. It’s not funny.

I'm not saying you're a Bush hater, and I found some of your McCain jokes funny. I'm just saying that is why a lot of us are leery of amateur political humorists.

And there it is....

That is their real platform, their only platform. That's the reason why you're seeing a black man and a white woman doing so well this year. It's based on the sheer virtue that they aren't white males. It has nothing to do with their political histories, or more importantly, what their voting history really says about the direction they want to take this country. Both of their campaigns are based off of thinly concealed hatred and chock full of rhetoric and catering to a Nation so completely disgusted with the status quo that they'd sell their left testicle (or ovary) for a change.

Hillary's history is pretty shady at best.

Obama has no history, apart from being a cog in the Mayor Daley political machine, which happens to be one of the most corrupt political cesspools in the modern world. Do a little homework on Illinois politics.

Good luck to you all, whichever of these three scum get the nod. I'm moving into the mountains.
