This was just so funny, I had to post it:

Here we see Tony Zirkle, a Republican candidate for Indiana’s 2nd District, at a birthday celebration for Hitler. This is a guy who's running on a platform partially centered on segregating the country, giving blacks 6 states, and kicking them out of the other 44.

Swell fella.

For a better snicker, know what I get to celebrate on the anniversary of his death ?

My own B-day, meh heh heh.

Such a nice present that is every year.

Now if only Kissinger would have the damn decency to kick it this time around, that'd be even better.

Just the ranting I've been reading lately (not nessesarily here) about Republicans being the true party of civil rights, and how racist Democrats are deep down, useing Obama as a cover and such.

That, and I find it funny when any politician outs themselves so very publicly as an ass.

Oh, a Congressman. BFD. Houston, TX has Shiela Jackson Lee. She thought the Mars rover could be sent over to take pics of the flag that the Apollo Astronauts had planted......ON THE MOON.

And of course, I had Cynthia ( Much ado about a hair do ) McKinney for my US Congress Rep.

As far as the issue itself - I don’t see anything funny about it. I see an idiot either too stupid or too racist to know who he is dealing with when he attends a birthday party for Hitler. Hitler for Christ’s sake? There’s no way for a reasonable person to walk into a party and see a huge image of Hitler and people in Swastikas and think “This is a nice crowd, I think I’ll hang around here and give a talk.” If this fruitcake gets elected in Indiana after this, I’ll be surprised.

Riiiight, this Republican celebrating Hitler's birthday is Democratic propoganda.... M'kay.

I'm sure they handcuffed him, drug him there, and made him pose for the picture at gunpoint.

Your rationalization is pretty freakin' hilarious, I must say.

Reincarnation man! Frem has to be extremely antiauthoritarian this time around because he was such an A-hole as Hitler.

Nah, if you wanna peg it along lines of ancestry, it would more likely be one of those crazy sodders who bought it at Camerone, in 1863.

Wait, there's a problem with Hitler? Did I miss something again?!
I used to know some bikers; they liked me for some reason, and I used to hang out at their after-hours clubhouse. They called me "Whitey," that's my biker name it seems, but the point is this; these guys were all into freedom and self-reliance and being your own man and so on, but their club was festooned with swastikas and Nazi paraphernalia. To be fair, it was also festooned with innumerable women's' undergarments, a wide selection of porn, animal heads, and had a built-in pole-dancing stage. I tried to explain to them repeatedly that Nazi ideology was precisely the opposite of their own, that it was about the organic unity of the state in which we are merely cogs, pawns to be sacrificed to the greater good of the volk (and their wagens). Really, all they wanted to express was that they didn't like blacks, and/or maybe Jews (they were a little vague there). Ironically, they had no problem with my half-Asian friend, but she is pretty cute and that goes a long way even with racial purists.
I'm not really sure what the point of my story is, but I will say that I'd be happy to get up and speak at a Hitler dinner; they might not be so happy, but I'd have a great time. Also, I'd almost be more surprised if the candidate in question doesn't get elected! There are plenty of people in Indiana, I'm sure, with views not dissimilar to my former associates', and probably plenty more who could easily overlook the Hitler thing if he's a clean-cut Christian boy. I mean, Hitler was all about family values, after all.

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

Alrightythen.

Maybe he will get elected, what do I know about Indiana, but I’m not voting for him or any of his swastika wearing, womans’ garments having, porn viewing, animal head having built-in pole-dancing friends.

Say what? Now, I'm not beating any drumb saying the Dems are the only ones interested in civil rights.

So, what lie would that be? Seriously, what the frak is your point? He wasn't there? Or are you just being a dick? Being contrarian for the sake of it?

I think I know the answer already, but give it a shot.

The way my Grandfather (a life long Republican) explained it to me was that the Civil Rights issue swung from the Republicans, who originally held it as they were the party of Linclon, because of the New Deal and Ms. Roosevelt's efforts on behalf of the civil rights of blacks (eg. Marion Anderson's concert at the Lincoln Memorial and the right to fight during WWII).

Grown men, dressing up , wearing NAZI swastika arm bands , with children's appropriate banners wishing Der Fuher a happy b-day ?

Are you frackin' kidding me ? That's all manner of hi-larious. Sick and twisted? Yeah, that too.

Did you read some of the posts ? It's like PN's little pro(anti-?)-Jewish pro-Xtian sibling posted. And I never thought there could anyone remotely like PN. Shows how much I know !

"Socialists deserve to hear the Gospel and some of them might need it more than the average person. I took it as an opportunity to hand out an entire box of books on the life of Christ. Additionally, WWII may never have happened had we not neglected pornography and prostitution in the Jewish community. Hitler would not have had his most powerful argument when he claimed that Jews cartelled 97% of all international prostitution. Let's not repeat history."
