LOS ANGELES (AP) — A smackdown among presidential candidates?
Barack Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton and John McCain will appear on World Wrestling Entertainment's live "Monday Night Raw" (8-11 p.m. EST on cable's USA network) but instead of smacking each other down, they separately will deliver some wrestling-themed stumping in taped messages before Tuesday's Pennsylvania primary.
"Tonight, in honor of the WWE, you can call me Hillrod," Clinton says in her message. "This election is starting to feel a lot like `King of the Ring.' The only difference? The last man standing may just be a woman."
Obama borrows The Rock's famous catchphrase during his appearance.
"To the special interests who've been setting the agenda in Washington for too long and to all the forces of division and distraction that has stopped us from making progress, for the American people, I've got one question: Do you smell what Barack is cooking?" Obama says before flashing a smile.
McCain, meanwhile, looked to Hulkamania for inspiration for his message.
"Looks like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama want to celebrate their differences in the ring," McCain says. "Well, that's fine with me, but let me tell you: If you want to be the man, you have to beat the man. Come November, it'll be game over. And whatcha gonna do when John McCain and all his McCainiacs run wild on you?"
The candidate appearances will be used to promote "Smackdown Your Vote!" — the WWE's voter registration drive.

Free airtime to a captive audience of thousands and millions of viewers nationwide? Crazy not to show up.

Obama did the best, McCain did the worst. McCain was on message and fine...but his tone was insulting and he talked down to the viewers. Barrack connected with them and you can tell he knew what he was saying, how to say it, and who the audience was. Hillary looked really bad because she said all the right things but it came across as phoney and stupid (I thought she was the worst till McCain made me feel like a moron).

"...smell what Baa-Rock is cooking" was clever.
"Finally Mac has come back to..." was a good line too.

The grudge match between Hillary and Barrack was funny...because the Barrack guy had these huge fake ears and then everybody got smashed by Umaga, the Samoan Bulldozer.

Donating $$ for what ? Was there another tsunami? Did New Orleans get hit by another Hurricane ? I'm sorry, I don't watch these silly shows, wrasslin' or A.I. , so I have no clue what the donations are about. But I'll bet dollars to donuts that the Bushes donate more $$ to charity than either Clintons or Obamas. Only the Bushes won't be telling everyone how much they donated to a specific charity. It's not their way.

I object somewhat to your use of the word "brainless." I have a brain, be it ever so abused and under-used. What I am frequently lacking in is sense...so on that basis I would go along with the word "senseless."

Anyway, I chimed in mostly to express my amusement with 6SJ's sentiment, which I took to be something along the broad, general lines of "Bush blows." I can see how amusement might not be a Bush fan's main reaction.

Humor aside and strictly speaking, I fail to see how 6SJ's post "[made] no sense whatsoever." I feel I got it's meaning, both implied ("Bush blows") and expressed (It's just good hygiene sense to sanitize your hands after handling any filthy, germ-ridden Presidents). On further reflection, 6SJ may also have been expressing some concern for Howie Mandel's safety...

Actual composite index seems to rank it between 19-22%
(Strangely, the less public appearances he makes, the less it drops, Kerry had the same problem.)

I just get rather amused and annoyed by..
