I wouldn't confuse valid criticism of Bush's assinine statements with someone becoming schitzophrenic. The vast majority of Bush supporters from 2000 & 2004 feel the same way about Bush. They feel betrayed that he's destroyed the Republican Party

Dunno about the golfing, but do you honestly have a problem w/ bike rides ?? Seems like a healthy activity, imo. Folks still have to continue living, even in times of war. Being at the Ranch is no different than being in D.C., operationally speaking. And where are you getting the info that he's not participating in cabinet meetings ? I fail to see where the issue is. if he played ONE golf game after he swore it off, big deal. Maybe he had a prior engagement and felt obligated to play it out. I can't fault a man for that. I swear, some of you act as if golf is some revered sport, which only Kings and CEO's play. It's really no big deal. I play golf. Well, on occasion I play golf, not that I'm any good at it. I never said I support Obama now or ever, and I'm not blowing with the prevailing political wind. I've never been one who desires to be "popular" and I have never been much of a joiner. I have been critical of Bush & Co. for a few years now....yes I've defended and supported his Admin in the past, but I've also stood against and written against a lot of what they've done. Sometimes you gotta cut your losses and regroup. I agree with the person who wrote that Bush has destroyed the Republican Party. In your worst nightmare you never could have imagined having McCain as the Republican candidate for President, could you? Face it, the country is f-'d up on so many levels now. To continue to have faith & loyalty is admirable in its' own right, but I have to call them as I see them now.

I hear you Jongs, but for me faith and loyalty has nothing to do with it. I've always been an independent voter and have no bond whatsoever to the Republican party. Sure I have almost always voted Republican, but what were my alternatives, Dukakis, Gore or Kerry. Makes it pretty easy to vote Republican with a clear conscience when you look at the alternatives. The dems have nothing to offer this country except take from the rich and give to the poor socialism. If people want big daddy government to take care of them, then they should vote democrat, otherwise there's only one other alternative. You have got to realise that there are no true conservatives left in politics, there's just professional politicians. If you can get someone like McCain that you agree with 50% of the time, that's better than 0% from Obama. Yes, someday conservatives will take control of the Republican party again, but in the mean time we've got to minimize the damage someone like Obama could do to this country. Even if McCain turns out to be a fiscal liberal like Bush , there won't be nearly as much damage to undo after he serves as there would be for Obama. If I can prevent one new tax increase, bureaucracy or useless regulation by voting for McCain it will be worthwhile. I'll give Obama credit for at least being honest about what he will do to this country if elected. Some may think we need change, but the changes he purposes scare the shit out of me, and they would scare everyone else if it wasn't for his charisma and their hatred of Bush.
