To survive a disaster, and to survive FEMA and Blackwater death squads, you need 12 months supply of food, water, gas, electricity and cash/gold for property taxes/mortgage/rent. If you leave your home for 12 months, FEMA has classified "shopping" as "looting" subject to immediate arrest for violation of curfew, or worse.

The reason 1,000 cops fled New Orleans after the levees were bombed after Katrina, was because FEMA sabotaged all police communications and gave illegal orders for police to flee the city. You can bet that's standard policy for FEMA today.
