Obligatory Picture of a cat.

That's Kallista-Ree Sjare Khallinenda, queen of the house and my little mobs Godfather.

Smartest of the bunch, too, never does her own dirty work if she can help it.

So HERE'S where that dratted triple went to!

I'll do my best to retitle this thread (if the site will let me). I'll just call it "Kitties!!!"

BTW, I like your cat. Reminds me one one of mine.

Ghoster Pootie-Pie

Sweet, but dumber than a bag o bricks.
She likes to climb stuff, but for a cat is unbelievably clumsy, resulting in just about inevitable crash boom bang + mess when she tries.

She's also a bit on the pudgy side, with a severe hankerin for lunchmeat, which she can't have cause she gets too heavy to groom herself and I wind up brushing mats out of her all the time.

Puppy Critter

She thinks she's a dog, a little bit, and has really sharp teeth and likes to chew on stuff, especially old cigar tubes, which she can punch right through.

She's also our resident vermin assassin, takes about four minutes tops for her to run down and execute a mouse.

Squirmy-Worm

Named so because while she loves to be adored, she doesn't care for being held, and will squim and flail quite a bit - makes trips to the vet interesting.

She also likes to play on having only three legs, giving you sad looks and limping prounoncedly to play on your sympathies - don't buy it, she's the second fastest cat in the house, second only to Puppy.

She also likes fetch, and will drive you nuts with it, bringing you stuff to throw, and if you do throw a milk ring where she can't reach it, she'll just get another from the stash she keeps under a corner of the hall carpet.

Alas I don't really have any decent pictures of Molly Meerkat Kitty or Lexington Demonica Voltaire, they're both kinda camera shy.

Tis funny, bout that, Siggy.

Kallista can apparently tell when someone has allergies.

Our friend Tim does, and when he comes over we have to send the rest to "their room" but Kallista will stay about four feet away from him unless he puts his hand out, at which she'll come just into range enough so he can give her some skritches, and then back off out of his "bubble".

There's no ryhme or reason for how and why she could know it, but she does, and unlike most cats won't mess with someone about it, she's pretty dignified in that way, almost to a fault.

And trust me, she KNOWS, I brought over another friend who had not told me he was allergic, and when the investigative horde came to sniff, she stops dead at that four foot line and had a few sharp words to the others.

How she can know is beyond me, but she does, and acts with respect to those who are.

Of course, the other five will just plow right into you like overzealous customs folk, sniffing all the way.

OH, speakin of which, Kallista also likes marijuana, I mean *LIKES* it, as in will practically assault you for it, she seems to think it's catnip "plus" or something, and if you're holding, imma know about it REAL quick like.
(And then make you put it somewhere off the property, what with the asset-seizure hardon the fucking feddies have these days.)

This results in a bit of unintential hilarity at times, especially when she mobbed a cop who was asking me if that was my car with no plates parked out front (it wasn't) and he wound up explaining to me that he'd just packed up a bunch of weed in the evidence room at the beginning of his shift... lol.

Even funnier is when his freakin SUPERVISOR (it's an itty bitty town, remember) calls me and asks if I'd be willing to loan them my cat if they need a sniff test and no dog was available, I told em I didn't quite think that'd hold up in court, really... be funny as hell if that situation ever comes to pass.

"Dude, WTF is THAT ?!"
"This, is my cat, if you've any weed on you or in the vehicle, I'd suggest you admit it now, cause she WILL find it."
"Awww SHIT!"

There's also being pro-legalisation too, I ain't entirely sure I'd be too interested in helpin the fuzz bust someone for something I don't think it should be illegal to have, yanno.

RUE

I have a vote and I'm not afraid to use it!

Puppy-critter could be the reincarnation of Pepper-cat. Even the names are eerily linked. WHEN was she born (more or less) ?

Just way too weird.

No idea, actually.

Ghoster and Puppy originally belonged to someone we knew who'd fallen into the world of hard drugs (smack) and was about to fall off the earth more or less - his court case was tanking and he asked us to look after them cause he was prolly goin up the river.

Come to find out he didn't treat em exactly well, Ghoster was near feral (to anyone BUT me) and Puppy's kinda never been all there upstairs to begin with, so when he took a header to another state to escape the long arm of the law, and wanted "his" cats shipped back, I told him to stuff it - he took it well enough, knowing they were in good hands and all.

I'd say gotta be going on five, six years ago, minimum, though.
