"...Senator Obama is our new president. God has answered our prayer," said pastor Washington Obonyo, who had prayed for an Obama victory on Tuesday and through much of the night.

"Because Obama has won, we will have a change in the whole world. And for that I will slaughter a cockrel to celebrate with my family."

President Mwai Kibaki was among the first foreign heads of state to congratulate Obama and gave Kenyans one more reason to rejoice when he declared Thursday a public holiday in a statement issued minutes after Republican John McCain conceded.

"This is a momentous day not only in the history of the United States of America, but also for us in Kenya. The victory of Senator Obama is our own victory because of his roots here in Kenya. As a country, we are full of pride for his success," he said.

Look, you played the confusion-card already. Ad nauseam even. Along with the fear-card. Is he really a native born American? Is he perhaps a Muslim with a hidden agenda? Yes, you tried your best. But the race is run. Your man lost. Live with it.

"...Is he really a native born American? Is he perhaps a Muslim with a hidden agenda? Yes, you tried your best. But the race is run. Your man lost. Live with it."

The short answer ? Nope.

He's not even a 'naturalized' citizen...

What he is , is an illegal Alien...

Whether that also means "Muslim with a hidden agenda" remains to be seen...

Does he have a hidden agenda ?

Absolutely...More than one , even...Time will expose them...

Hey there , @ss-A-Ree-An , you presume too much...Another ree-tard plays the proxy 'race card'.

I didn't have a 'man' in this fight...Not even a dog...

Even the purportedly 'mainstream media' touted the fact that Obama is "the first AFRICAN-American President"...

That's the first Title that Obama should disown , and disavow...

If he has any Respect for the Constitution that would be worthy of an Oath , then he has a Constitutional Duty to produce a valid long-form vault copy of his authentic Hawaiian birth certificate...

If he either can't or won't do that , then his candidacy and 'Presidency' are both massive frauds of virtually unprecedented proportion...

Can Obama do that ? Will he ?

NO...HE...CAN'T !

P.T. Barnum perhaps said it best : "There's a sucker born every minute..."

Obama-san can legitimately put ALL DOUBTS to Rest , Once and for ALL TIME , if he'd unseal the Hawaiian documents and produce them...

*snerk* Dude, I'm the one sitting here with Occam's razor, while you're freaking out over something so unlikely you may as well be saying the sky will turn pink.
It is so, so, SO unlikely that anyone would be allowed to run for President without 'producing documents' as you say, that claiming a document that is required for a passport has 'never been produced' makes you look not only stupid, but as I said, hysterical. And also stupid.
Barack Obama is not going to come to your door with his birth certificate to prove to YOU that he's a natural born citizen. It's been proven to the people who actually have some control over whether he be allowed to run or not.

In earnest, don't all y'all ever grow tired of playing these 'fear' and 'casting doubt' cards? Especially after the race is run. I mean, the Democrats even won Indiana, for crying out-loud; that hasn't happened since the Johnson Administration! Doesn't that tell you anything?

Quote:

Not to you, he doesn't. To you he's the President. And don't forget to call him "Mister," he likes that.

And today I read this on CNN:

Two McCain (sic!) sources also say Palin did not know Africa was a continent and could not find it on a map.

Well, seems some agendas really best stay hidden! :) What was it again that Mark Twain said? It's better to have people think you're a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt! Seriously, though, be glad Obama won. I gots to believe, if only for my own sanity, that even you, sour grapes notwithstanding, wouldn't really want that level of stupidity ever having a shot at the Whitehouse.

Quote:

It's of interest to me how much you Republicans seem to know about Presidencies and fraud. :) And here's the whopping irony of it all: if your Bush hadn't stolen the election in the first place, Obama would not have been so hugely popular to begin with. "Change," you know, only has real momentum when things are very, very bad.

Sources inside the McCain camp also noted that Palin doesn't know which nations are included in NAFTA. (Hint: It stands for "NORTH AMERICAN Free Trade Agreement"; you only need to know which nations comprise North America.)

Hello,

That's a nice wallhanger. I considered buying one myself. The Lord of the Rings styled swords were some of the prettiest ones I've seen in recent years.

In the end, though, until I can purchase an Angus Trim, I decided not to divert money to decorative pieces.

Most of my friends stuff came from Angel Sword, dunno if they're still in business anymore, but they made serious stuff for hacking things up, rather than wallhangers...

Mines from a difference source, a gift from a very grateful person in the industry, given a couple years after the favor in question, he just had a wild hair and decided to go with it, and offered me the results on my birthday that year.

It's a variation on a spanish smallsword with more of a broadsword hilt and crossguard, well designed for use by someone puny with small hands who also happens to be VERY quick - someone who's any kind of good with a smallsword will slaughter a rapier user on the floor, alas that I am too damn old to dance to that tune no more.

But the true beauty of the thing lies in it's design, a crossover of greek, hindu and american elements rendering "Lady Liberty" as a goddess or diety figure, backed up by a color scheme of red, white and blue, of course.

And right down the blade is it's name, using whatever tech it is that they use on high end pool cues...
"The Liberty Defender"

It mostly does hang on the wall, sure, being that my home defense is more of a second amendment sort, but in a pinch, on a good day, I could prolly still embarrass most folks who think they're hot shit with a rapier.

Hello,

As a public service announcement, I feel compelled to explain that stainless steel swords are not combat implements. There are very real problems with properly heat-treating stainless steel, and most companies do not even try. Stainless steel generally comes in two varieties when you get to a sword length: Too soft, or too brittle. Combat capability comes in the magic place between these extremes.

In a knife length, this is less important. The stresses that a short stainless steel blade is likely to encounter are much less prone to destroy the weapon in use if its length is short. However, in a sword length, the stresses multiply.

It is also interesting to note that stainless steel swords are much, much heavier than they ought to be. A proper carbon-steel sword tends to be much lighter. It is worth noting that people who routinely handle stainless steel blades are often surprised at the light handling of carbon steel.

A proper sword also has distal taper, providing a quality of balance often lacking from the beautifully decorative and yet woefully combat inadequate SLOs (Sword Like Objects) available from United Cutlery and other Wallhanger suppliers.

In the end, a sharpened PVC pipe can skewer someone, but that does not make it a good combat spear. The same can be said of a stainless steel SLO. If you sharpen it, it will cut things, but it can't be relied upon in a real stress environment. You simply never know how or when it's going to dramatically fail.

So please, do not employ any stainless steel sword as though it was a combat implement unless you are in an emergency and have no other choice. This is a safety issue.

Even practicing with a SLO is of dubious value (because of wicked weight and balance issues) and god forbid you accidentally impact the right object in the wrong way.

For additional helpful information on swords and their qualities, please visit swordforum.com and access their forums area. Many knowledgeable experts of much higher quality than myself are usually on hand.

Interesting notes there, Anthony.

Although I don't think less of my 21" maingauche, it's a parry blade anyhow and unsharpened, made out of the softer stainless you speak of, and intended for the sole purpose of catching or fouling someone elses blade - it's rather supposed to be a little heavy, and the softer stainless is quite durable if you've no intent to sharpen it.

Also, my primary issue with many blade makers, even supposedly reputable ones, is inferior tang structure, in a proper blade, the tang is forged as part of it, and the hilt built around that, rather than some badly tack-welded rod threaded at the bottom, with a loose handle slapped on and threaded down with a screw-on ball pommel.

Come at me with one of those (and more than a few have) and I guarantee you, you'll carry it home in different pieces.
