For my money, the press SHOULD have an adversarial relationship with government, and should thoroughly vet everything they're told. It's how you avoid things like the Iraq War, and how you uncover things like Watergate. And Lewinski-gate. And Whitewater-gate.

I guess that's somewhat reassuring... Personally, though, I'd like to think that only *I* represent MY side and how *I* think. As for ruffling feathers, 'Rap and Hero do it better, and are at least as amusing most of the time.
