I love Robin Williams but he looks like he got his short hairs caught in the fraking machine.

Good pick up, I forgot that he appeared on L&O as a "foolish" lawyer representing himself. It was an OK ep.

Jeez, I never made the connection, but I can kinda see it, now that you brought it up.

Only problem is, I think you're smarter and WAAAAYYY craftier than he was. :)

Ah, didn't make the connection originally cause I consider any of those "law and order" shows laughable propaganda, which they mostly are.

That said, Rook was a plonker, and one with some serious issues - when you got that kind of skill, it's foolish and wasteful to use it toying with the peons, you apply it directly to the movers and shakers, the folks who can set and change policy rather than the powerless schmucks laboring under it.

Or failing that, you apply it in such a way as to leverage them down the garden path if they wanna go or not, Rook had the basic concept (do not comply) but didn't think it through or take it deep enough cause his own personal issues got in the way.

Not to mention of course they portrayed him like that, cause heaven forfend the people ever actually get the idea that the cops and prosecutors who run the animal farm are actually the bad guys, right ?

Shows like that portray an ideal not present in our so-called justice system, they don't show the brutality and murder, the consistent violations of discovery, misconduct, jury stacking, backroom deals and all the other shit that *really* goes on instead out here in the real world.

Anyhow, Merritt was a plonker, an elevated amateur with serious issues deliberately portrayed as a non-sympathetic "bad guy" and a maniac while portraying anyone who listened to him as a gullible fool simply to discredit anyone with discordian leanings, his actions make no sense in a logical context and his presented backstory directly conflicts with every aspect of his character, but of course, you're not supposed to sniff the kool-aid before you drink it, right ?

Amateurs have issues.
Professionals have standards.
