Actually, it's sad. What they did was panic. They thought someone would try to track them down, and so they went full tilt into a storm and capsized, drowning the majority of the crew, and losing the cash. Sad loss of tragic Somali Dortmunder pirates.

And yeah, I think that Jack Sparrow could have pulled this one off.
