I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Yeah, here's one person who opted to look like The Joker, for real!

Reminds me of the move Brazil where two women get into plastic-surgery competition and one keeps showing up with progressively larger and more oozy-looking bandages, explaining I had a complication of my complication. EEwwww!

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

Sig,

that was the point of my link, she's one of the people there, but when i found that page, i went with it for the brazil effect.

Obsession can easily go beyond reason. Here's an explanation of botox treatments given by a doctor, I don't have the text, so I may be paraphrasing, but I read this a couple years back:

Patients have to have regular treatments, maybe as often as every six months, because the effect wears off. Botulism toxin kills the face through muscular paralysis. The face looks dead, because it essentially is dead. This is why it doesn't wrinkle, necrotic tissue doesn't move. But the body will heal, and replace the dead tissue with living cells, and the face will start to move again, wrinkles will reappear. Of course, there is danger with continuous treatment, if you leech too much into the system, it can kill off other tissues, cause nerve damage, etc., so you have to be careful with the dose each time.

And this was coming from someone who actually did the treatments, not an opponent of them. I think anyone reading his explanation of how it worked wouldn't have to think about it for a minute before walking out.

I get that people compete, but there are lots of ways to compete. You let yourself believe that you are the flaw, then you can allow modification of self to an absurd degree. Usually, if there is a flaw in us that causes our social problems, it's behavior that we choose, and usually, because we don't know any better. I'm sometimes guilty myself, and we should always be on the lookout for those sorts of changes that we can make, but for an example of self destuctive social behavior, you don't have to look far: There was a massive display right here today, all day long. I think those two threads have now reached book length.

Oh, I thought this thread was about AURaptors after school club.

Botox injections is rather a disturbing practice, anything involving "injecting" and "botulism" in the same sentence we can take it as read that it's not the best idea ever I think.

Next week Sarin for that healthy glow.

More insane ramblings by the people who brought you beeeer milkshakes!
No one can see their reflection in running water. It is only in still water that we can see.

I'm only interested in the ones you earn the hard way, which is to say, luck.

It's not the size of the tities, it's the muscle tone. same with most attractive features. Denotes healthy diet and exercise more than genetics, you can see it someone's face, skin, etc.

Bless you, son; you're doing god's work.

Yes, I remember the 80s, Samantha Fox was *hard* to forget, so to speak. She start at 14, as a pop-tart. She evolved into a feminist icon for the struggle of... oh wait, no she didn't, she remained a total tart.
Her music is very 80s pop, and her wardobe was usually awol.

No sag here, btw, buoyancy incarnate, of enormous porportions. I knew a woman like that once, but she wasn't hot like Sam. Also, you have to appreciate sentiments like:
"Naughty girls need love too."
"Touch me, touch me now!"
and so on...

Samantha Fox, another argument for human cloning.

Miley Cyrus take note.

You bring back such wonderful mammories...er...memories.

Big...hair...and she could sing too. But her talents were obvious. As a teenage boy I could just take one look at her and appreciate the talent she had.
