Hell, to put not too fine a point on it, ALL those social networking sites have those kind of connections, if they're not owned outright, as does Doubleclick and a quite a few other "marketing" firms.

That's why ya give em the mushroom treatment, keep em in the dark and feed em shit.

It's kinda fun to use a proxy and put up pages you KNOW they will sweep by filling them with keywords, and then poisoning the well with various tricks.

Like setting up a minimalist webpage linked to a popular usenet group or forum that has no content save for stuff like WPOISON, to screw with the autocrawler bots and whatnot.
