You really don't read what I type at all, do you?

Aside from the CIA's folly at trying to get Castro during the Kennedy Administration, I don't consider what the U.S. Government or military do against enemy forces to be assasination. This would include the actions of JSOC and it's predecessors.

My point is this. I suspect Mr Hersch, in his accusations about assassinations, is probably referring to the Special Ops and Predator strikes against Al Qaeda and Talaban in Pakistan and Afghanistan. I consider these legitimate actions against enemy command and control.

Oh, so assassination is NOT part of our SOP.

Suspect all you want. That's not my impression. He's a journalist, and a good one. If he meant "military strike" that's what he would have used.

And by doing so, you legitimize what happened on 9-11-01.

You cannot have it both ways.

And Rue, Siggy ?

Not only did I allude to it, I pointed it out over a year ago, laid down plans for it, and engaged in pre-emptive political strikes aimed to cripple the bastards before our last "election" (snicker-snort) even occured.

It's WHY I was so intent on hamstringing the bastards and obliterating any remaining credibility they and their fanatic brownshirts have - because if they are successfully presented as the pack of laughingstocks they are, the usual bunch of feckless moral cowards these folk accumulate as the bulk of their initial enforcers (who are damn fools cause they're the first to be sold out or even eliminated when no longer useful) will not gather to them for fear of scorn and retaliation.

In short I am using the tactics we SHOULD have used on middle eastern terrorists, on the Republican party - which gives *me* no moral qualms at all because other than minor differences of race, and a bare shade of difference in their all too similar religous philosophy, ain't a damned bit of difference between em in my eyes.

Used properly, scorn and ridicule have tremendous power, especially in the hands of someone eloquent enough to apply them right in the very face of hate and ignorance.

And the more they align their party with hate and ignorance, the easier it gets to mock them and enrage them into showing the true nature of what they want to foist on everyone who isn't them.

I do plan to finish the job, as I said.

And when that's done, while the Democrats are busy dancing a victory jig, I got a shiv for their spine too.

Thank you! That's what I've been trying to get at, and precisely WHY the left is trying so hard to tar the entire Republican party with the "Rush Brush". This is an actual, concerted effort to bring down Rush, or barring that, to bring down those who associate and ally themselves with him. And the right is playing right into their hands, and doing so with apparent glee!

It's just making to SOOOOO easy.

And yes, when the party lies in ruins at the Democrats' feet, and while they're still drunk from their "victory", then we get to do the same thing to them.

I like Keith Olbermann; he amuses me. But I don't follow him or hold him up as the Ideal Liberal. He's a clown, like Rush, and it's best to never forget it - and to never let HIM forget it!

Just something to ponder...

And ya know, Frem... YOU'VE laid it out plain, time and time again, and I'VE laid it out plain in regards to Limbaugh - and yet the righties STILL won't accept that this is all according to plan, and Rush is doing a great job at playing his part.

The "On Fire" Economy -
The Dow closed at 10,587.60 on January 20, 2001, the day GW Bush took office. Eight years later, it closed below 8000 on the day he left office - a net loss of 25%. That's what conservatives call an economic "success".

Mr. Hersch has provided no details, no names, no dates, no corroboration at all. If anyone you disagreed with made such claims without any verification, you'd be crying for this information. Instead, you rush to judgment based on pretty much nothing. Nice to see your usual bias working.

From an economic standpoint, the case could be made.

And just how many times have WE bombed shit that was civilian targets over there, eh ?

Just sayin we got no moral high ground to be standin on here.

And I don't need your snark, you got a valid point, bring it, but if you're gonna play all petulant because your pet brand of imperial dominion is falling apart you can play it to yourself.

Me, I'm just finishing the damn job while I got the chance, cause I got no love for either brand on this side of the water, nor any for the bastards across it - but as is wise, I happen to be dealing with those in the order they're a threat to me...

A buncha pissants with no navy, no airforce and no significant military presence just doesn't carry the threat that the same exact kind of assholes buried up to the neck in our own government and planning to use it against us in the same fashion do.

Get it straight and clear, to my eyes there ain't no damn difference between Republicans, Democrats, and Terrorists save for how much ability they have to threaten me, NONE.

Cause they all want, in the end, me to do what THEY want, instead of what *I* want, and they'll use any and every means they can get their hands on to accomplish that.

Strip the bullshit off, there ain't no good guys on that field, so why the hell should I treat any of em as such ?

I have utter faith the the American people not to care unless it's THEIR bread that's been shit on.

That's one of the weak points of Serenity. They (crew of Firefly) seem to think that if the truth is disseminated people will rise up on their hinds legs and demand change. We've been doing this kind of crap for years. DECADES. We killed millions of people in Vietnam in the "free fire" zone that we made out of the Delta.

YAWN!

We supported evey kind of torture and depravity that Somoza and Pinochet and The Shah of Iran could inflict on their societies.

SNORE!

We gave money and arms to Suharto so that he could massacre 200,000 people, and the only thing Kissinger was worried about was whether or not his fingerprints were on it or not.

Whuuuhh???

We killed about 100,000 people in Iraq, but I don't see many wringing their hands over lost lives.

Peeps like Rapo, Geezer, and Finn will find a way to deny. Most Americans really wouldn't care. Hell, look at the big yawn tha New Orleans got after Katrina! The only thing that would happen is that OTHER countries would demand accountability. If some of them (China, Australia, UK and EU) made their continuing support of our currency part of the demand for an investigation or (worse) punished us after-the-fact by dumping our currency...

THEN there would be a problem! But not before.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

We are coming close to that point where many nations will choose not to use the USD in their bilateral trade with others. They are squirming out from our grasp, and we will be reduced to *gasp!* "a nation among nations", where we will have to earn our way, not bully our way, in the world.
But we will not change unless forced by external pressures.
