I wonder if Barry visited "Camp Obama" while he was out on the coast to make an ass out of himself on Leno?

Wagyu (和牛 ,wagyū?) refers to several breeds of cattle genetically predisposed to intense marbling and to producing a high percentage of oleaginous unsaturated fat. The meat from wagyu cattle is known worldwide for its marbling characteristics, increased eating quality through a naturally enhanced flavor, tenderness and juiciness, and thus a high market value. Several areas in Japan are famous for the quality of their Wagyu cattle, and ship beef bearing their areas' names. Some examples are Kobe, Mishima and Ohmi beef.

The wagyu cattle's genetic predisposition yields a beef that contains a higher percentage of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids[1] than typical beef. The increased marbling also improves the ratio of monounsaturated fats to saturated fats.

That's all I know about it - straight from Wiki !

Apparently Bush ordered his from Australia some time after 2005, while Obama's was US grown. But Obama is the devil incarnate for eating Wagyu steak, while Bush gets a pass from the right-wing.

Context Rue, context.
What was the average American eating back in 2005 as opposed to today?
Was FDR eating expensive meals back in the day?

Reading comprehension, BDN, reading comprehension.

Some time AFTER 2005 - it could have been 2005 - or 2006 or 2007 or 2008.

2006 was when home foreclosures started to take off and many banks failed. 2007 was the first multi-billion dollar AIG bailout. 2008 - well, we all know about 2008.

No USers except the top 5% were doing very well either then or now.

What were many USers eating during those years ? Not Wagyu steak - then or now. They were eating about what they are eating now, on the average.

And your point ? Oh, that's right. None, like ususal.

Hello,

Chris, I much prefer eating the dead ones. ;-)

"Was FDR eating expensive meals back in the day?"

He was almost certainly eating above the grade of the average American. I imagine hungry dust-farmers scrabbling for scraps and suffering from malnutrition would consider his three squares to be a sumptuous feast, well beyond their means.

When Barry and the Dems are done, all that'll be left of the U.S. will be a smoldering crater.

Good thing FDR did not have to deal with the immediate information age that Obama now does.

Hello,

I am not convinced we can crucify any singular individual or even any singular political party for the degree of horribleness we now face. The cost of what is happening now won't fully manifest itself for years, and the predicament we have now was certainly also years in the making.

AnthonyT

I give it about 8 years in the making.

The US was doing rather well under Clinton. SOME of it was illusory - like the DOW - but not all. By starting to pay down the federal debt and by increasing real wages at the bottom, Clinton created prosperity and security. Now, like any capitalist system, at SOME point it has to contract. But that time was not going to come for a while under those policies.

Bush, with great effort, diligence and intention, reversed all that. And we got what we have now as a result.
