(Yes, the thread title is for you, Chris.)

Transgenic monkeys are now genetically engineered to glow in the dark. How useful.

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.

Maybe all the glow-in-the-dark animals can have a shindig.

Seems like every time science fiction shows us something, the real world has to push it even farther...

For me, it's not so much the idea of glow-in-the-dark monkeys (or goldfish, or frogs, or possums), as my personal estimation of the minds behind the glow-in-the-dark monkeys (or goldfish, or frogs, or possums).

Like they might wake up one morning and go, "Hey - why just stop with glowing...and monkeys?"

ETA: Post-modern paranoia aside, I quite like the idea of the glow-in-the-dark shindig.

W W R D ?
What would Rorschach do?

I failed to point out that the highlight of these transgenic monkeys is that they are the first glow in the dark animals who are able to pass on the transgene to their offspring.

That would be like if Max were able to pass on her transgenes to her kids by mating with another transgenic. A feat not yet achieved by even the TV show.

If it involves glow-in-the-dark critters, shouldn't we call it a rave?

I dunno. I'm still waiting for the pet velociraptor, myself.

Guess I'm just a good man.
Well, I'm alright.

Those guys in "The Last Dragon" had the glow, were they part of this batch?

You've actually seen that horrible flick, Chris ?

Heck, even it's campiness doesn't save it - but it does have one redeeming quality, you get to hear Vanity sing, and in a manner using her full vocal range, which was damned impressive.

Back in the day, we took what we could get.
My Son saw it, and forces me to watch it with him every so often.
Sidenote: Sho 'Nuff was played by the same actor that did Lord Bowler on Brisco County.
