Hello,

Your title and commentary are misleading.

Hugo and Obama are not the best of friends. The fact that Hugo called our president intelligent, and suggested that our presidency 'no longer smells of sulfur' is hardly enough to suggest a best-buds relationship. Unless, "I don't completely despise you" means love in your native language? The Venezuelan leader is still quite critical of the United States.

Also, it appears that Iran does not need any help acquiring uranium for their atomics programs. The article stresses that Iran has significant quantities of uranium already, along with the enrichment facilities. It seems much more likely, given the information provided in the article, that Iran is helping Venezuela and not the other way around.

And so, if you are prone to worry about such things, shouldn't *that* worry you more?

Hello,

It worries me, too, but only a little bit.

The truth is that these countries are only able to maintain token arsenals with delivery systems insufficient to the task of breaking the U.S.

Conversely, if either of them were to use their limited nuclear capacity, they would immediately forfeit themselves to destruction.

Likely, the pursuit of nuclear arms is a political tool, and not a military tool.
