Kiernan reports that Polanski secretly planned to remain in Europe until the baby was born. "Then maybe I could go back and find Sharon the way she used to be."

10. Lavey and Manson's motivations seemed to be primarily nookie, but might have had some serious aspirations of starting more major subcultures.

11. The circumstances of Polanski's sex with the 13yo are curious, and probably not unusual, except in the normal world: she was brought to a hollywood party, drugged, and raped, something which smacks both of "hollywood as usual" and of the church of satan. It doesn't fit the Manson model, his followers were all converts. They just killed people.

But undoubtedly some of this is true. Polanski's own statements of his past don't hold up. He claimed to have his family murdered by Nazis on the Eastern front, and to have lain under their dead bodies for three days waiting for the Soviets. He's also mentioned being in Auschwitz, having family members die there. Polanski is from France and may have never been to Poland. There are conflicting reports involving some family members returning to Poland to be killed. If there is truth in this, it wasn't a brilliant move. In 1936, a french family could have moved to any french colony, and if you feared a German invasion, then Poland would be last on the list of places to go, since the German govt. have already made a territorial claim to the country.

Again, when it came to Polanski and the girl, he claimed that this was an affair with a fan, but then plead guilty in a plea bargain, after charged with assault, and fled the country while awaiting trial. Nothing sticks to Jack Nicholson in this story either for some reason, it reads like chappaquiddick, Jack had sent to collect some junior high girls to rape, and they boys had a jolly good time. For some reason Polanski got in trouble and no one else, so I'm not sure this is a game of "protect the jew."

14. The film, Rosemary's baby, served two purposes: First, to promote the church of satan, and second, to break the hollywood willy hayes code, to allow film producers to essentially do anything they wanted. To what extent it was orchestrated to do these things, or who was behind either if at all is speculation.

15. The book was written in '67 by Ira Levin, without critical acclaim, it was made into a film in '68, and the murder took place in '69. It's possible that Tate was intentionally married to be sacrificed to Satan, for the purpose of creating a cult, as a scam.

This fits the Dylan conspiracy model fairly well, and Polanksi became a film noir cult figure.

You're theory had legs, but it needs to take baby steps before it can walk run or fly.

In general, I nitpick your comments on the board for obvious rhetorical reasons, but I think you've got a pretty sound grasp of the real undercurrent. The place where a lot of the propaganda aspects fall apart is that these theories tend to leap over the "connect the dots" part, and make connections that may not hold up under scrutiny.

I can see the sensational value of this, and get that you might be doing it intentionally.

Polanski tells her French champagne "could never hurt you." She drinks a glass to placate him. Soon "she felt her lungs beginning to constrict." Polanski says "jump in hot tub It make you feel better."

"I really don't feel good," she says, "[S]houldn't've had champagne She complained again about her dizziness and shortness of breath He gave her a tablet and told her to take it, assuring her that it would counter the effects of the champagne."

The police report continues. "[D]utifully, the girl swallowed the tablet." He didn't "tell her that the tablet was not an antiasthma pill but a high-potency [illegal] Quaalude from his own pocket The girl was in a deep champagne-Quaalude daze slipping into unconsciousness."

"She was shivering and ashen and weeping I'm sick," she mumbled drunkenly. I want to go homemy fathergasping for breath in shrill, raspy heaves. Mucus spilled from her nostrils."

She lost bladder control and is feverish. Polanski worries that he might be stuck with a "naked American teenager in the throes of a potentially fatal seizure." He "wondered whether he should call an ambulance or the police. He decided to wait."

Why no ambulance!! In a film, should she die, his Hollywood friends might help dump the body.

Still, not to waste a rape opportunity, Polanski painfully sodomized and raped the half unconscious child. "With her breathing still impaired by the effects of the Quaalude and champagne, she immediately gagged and retched. She tried to scream but couldn't produce a sound."

Eventually, she revived. He drove the child home, leaving her at the front door.
