NASA offers $2 million prize for NASA to bill $2-trillion to taxslaves

Seems to me if there's that much centripetal force, it would pull the bedrock into space. Big disaster would ensue as molten lava erupts. Lots of wailing and nashing of teeth.

Besides, hasn't NASA ever flown a kite? The line don't go straight up. And NASA want's a 25,000-mile-long cable? Remember what happened to Ben Franklin?

Because putting folks in jail for jaywalking makes you a rocket scientist?

Putting the counterweight at 62,000 miles altitude wont work, because geosynchronous orbit is 22,000 miles. So the rotation of Earth would pull it westward until it wraps around the equator. Doh!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geostationary_orbit

Then there's the 200 mph jetstream to deal with. And the 6-million mph solar wind. No human can survive at that altitude due to nuke radiation.

All other spacecraft would be required to be shot down, to prevent impact with the cable.

At best it would be a giant lightning rod, until it got zapped with millions of volts from outer space.

So being the local conspiracy theorist makes YOU a rocket scientist, PN?
