Referring to http://www.lvtsg.com/imho/2010/05/time-magazine-sharron-angle-can-save
-harry-reid
/ , a columnist wrote this, which I think is right on:
Quote:

Either Time Magazine is deliberately leaking disinformation, or Sue Lowden's cognitive skills are suspect at best. Lowden gives Senator Harry Reid way too much credit.

Senator Reid didn't knock Lowden down. Lowden knocked herself down. To quote Reno Mayor Bob Cashell: "Suicidal Sue". Of course, Danny Tarkanian - bless his soul - has done his part.

Sue Lowden has no issues and her campaign has been one of the most poorly run I've ever seen. It's a case of the blind leading the deaf.

Lowden has slipped dramatically in recent polls:
Quote:

The latest Mason-Dixon Poll suggests if the Republican primary were held today, Lowden would win 30 percent of the vote, Angle 25 percent, Danny Tarkanian 22 percent, John Chachas 3 percent and Chad Christensen 2 percent.

"I'm not sure what poll that was, but there's all kinds of polls out there," Lowden said. "We don't take polls very seriously."

Another poll seems to back it up, however:
Quote:

A new Patriot Majority/Public Policy Polling (D) survey of Nevada finds that former state Rep. Sharron Angle leads in the Republican primary for Senate, over establishment candidate and former state Sen. Sue Lowden and former UNLV basketball player Danny Tarkanian.

The numbers: Angle 29%, Lowden 26%, Tarkanian 24%, followed by state Rep. Chad Christensen and businessman John Chachas at 5% each. The poll of likely GOP primary voters has a ±3.8% margin of error.

The crack about Nevada mayor Bob Cashell is:
Quote:

US Senate Candidate Sue Lowden waited more than an hour at South Reno's Flowing Tide. But with the beer glasses low and the bill paid, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell still hadn't shown.

The public appearance would have followed Cashell reportedly saying he believes Sharron Angle will defeat Lowden in the Republican primary.

And in the wake of questions about whether Lowden's campaign RV violates contribution laws, Cashell reportedly criticized Lowden's campaign, saying: "she's suicidal," "suicidal Sue."

Truth is, she IS sinking herself. Between the chicken thing (chicken costumes are no longer allowed at polling booths in Nevada as a result) and the RV "contribution", in which:
Quote:

A week and a half ago, Lowden claimed that the RV had been donated: "Why would anyone want to demean the fact that someone donated an RV to me? It's unfortunate that no one donated an RV to them."

The Lowden campaign now says, however, that the the R.V. was officially leased to Lowden by casino owner Carl Giuduci and his wife Elsie Giuduci.

That was a quick catch, but even then, there are questions:
Quote:

A campaign contributor is “leasing” to Lowden the RV she is using as her campaign bus, according to her campaign. But Lowden’s name is on the title along with the name of the supporter, Carl Giudici, seemingly indicating they co-own the bus.

Campaign finance rules allow in-kind contributions of $2,400 — equal to the cash limit. The contribution of a luxury RV, which commonly costs more than $100,000, would be a violation of the law.

Danny Tarkanian, who narrowly trails Lowden according to polling of the Republican U.S. Senate primary field, has called into question whether Lowden is breaking the law.

The woman is a joke, pure and simple--as in simple minded!
Quote:

The campaign wouldn’t say how much the luxury RV is worth. Similar 2001 vehicles can be found for sale in the $60,000-to-$100,000-plus range, depending on their conditions.

Lowden’s campaign refused to say how much it was leasing the bus for on a day-to-day basis when she is using it on the road. The campaign said it doesn’t pay when it’s parked.

According to a redacted lease agreement released by the campaign that did not provide any dollar figures, Lowden must return the vehicle after she is done using it during her bid for public office.

They may have banned chicken suits (how often do new laws get enacted to avoid embarrassing a single, idiotic woman anyway), but I bet there's a booming business in Chicken T Shirts now.

No doubt there is. Just like "lipstick on a pig" t-shirts. T-shirt manufacturers make a bundle off idiotic political statements made by both sides...ALL sides...always! More power to 'em, capitalism in action!

I really want to go to a Lowden rally. I want to wear my chicken suit and carry a rubber chicken labeled "The Lowden Co-Pay!"

I doubt either of her followers would see the humor in this.

Ouch.

I think she's toast. Or, in chicken parlance, she's fried.
