Oh don't EVEN get me friggin started - having to dismantle alla my equipment and braces is one of the primary reasons I will *not* get on a commercial airliner for any reason whatever.

But yeah, serious pain in the ass given that my prosthetic equipment is all extremely custom and requires a damned LOT of putting on (like, half an HOUR, ok ?!) and being complex and expensive stuff I do not care for anyone fuckin with it, since if they're not a qualified tech and break something then I am completely screwed till I can have replacement parts machined, which do NOT come cheap - an *ordinary* cheapass, rip-up-your-stump prosthetic starts at about $8000.00USD minimum, and mine start at five times that, awright ?

The idea of some fumblefingered TSA jackboot takin the borgomatic apart gives me the wiggies and stokes my temper to fusion-critical.
