Hello,

Sometimes I worry about this more than diabetes. If you were to tally my fluid consumption over my lifetime, I think cola would far exceed water. Will they be calling me Mister Glass in twenty years?

Is there any way to re-calcify yourself after a lifetime of abuse?

Having dealt with closet kids, malnourished kids, and the related potential health problems, I've known cola was a no-no for anyone facing potential calcium or bone mass deficiences for years, especially women cause of a greater risk of osteoporosis (sp?) and the like.

I would say though, that with diet colas the real risks are Bisphenol-A leached from the container during temperature changes, Sodium Benzoate, HFCS, and the extremely toxic artificial sweeteners most of them use.

Hell, booze is safer, despite alcohol itself being technically poisonous.

Actually, there are medications that do just that for osteoporosis. They have plenty of side effects, though, so it might just be best to cut out the soda and do muscle building exercises... But wait, we're in America: Why change your lifestyle when you can take medications for the consequences of poor choices instead?
