Hello,

I know that Nikola Tesla demonstrated the principles behind this way, way back. (Wireless transmission of energy. The electric company hated it. "How can we meter it," they complained.)

However, I didn't think we had enough junk floating out there, nor any practical receiving antenna capable of converting that junk to practical amounts of power.

Is this some kind of scam, or is this for real?

Curious.

I did see something at one of the big electronics expos recently: a REALLY wireless flat-screen 1080p LCD TV. The screen has ZERO wires going in or out. All the wires go to a separate "media box", and the signal AND the power are sent wirelessly to the monitor. No plug on the monitor.

Like you, I'm not sure whether it's actually REAL or not...

While the tech does exist and is potentially viable, the behavior of this company convinces me they're primarily a scam - especially as they're pushing downright suspiciously hard for "investors" and I'm pretty sure that contact data will be sold off as well as potentially used for credit scam/identity theft.

On top of that they've been pushing for stimulus money, all up front...

And trying like hell to secure patents so they can sue any company trying to exploit this technology while having NO production facility or ability themselves - much like those "companies" who exist only to sue, etc...

Which'll wind up keeping the tech off the market, rather than putting it there - and the way they carefully worded that shit was the final nail, cause it reeks of Randroid-bait.

You make a strong point Frem. This is the type of "venture" that would need to be investigated and researched carefully in order to even consider investing capital.

There are firms that do that kind of stuff and consult with their clients to make the move. In these days of easy money though there are numerous scams structured solely to part a fool from his money. That's how Madoff got started! Of course, in Madoff's case, most of the "fools" he conned were blinded by their own greed.

As Gekko once said "Greed is good" - of course those who steal the cash say this.
